mesh vpn networking is highly underrated. with only an internet connection I have access to my machines in the cloud and at home, all within the same network range. I have my dev box, and my windows machine all accessible from any machine at any time.

don’t get too comfortable or sentimental with your tools. you may have to ditch them when the next greatest thing comes along, and if that thing is truly better than the current thing, you don’t want to be held back
