the zoot suit Samus meme is interesting because Tom & Jerry's Hep Kats (1943) is really the first "metroidvania." The early route into the girl's house is closed off, so Tom has to collect pieces of more powerful gear and then backtrack. I am making this post specifically to piss off 2-3 game devs.

I’m tired of people being hurt. Every time someone takes on NU Interactive work or picks up some SL6 thing, everyone fighting for our future is stabbed. Even if it’s unintentional. Even if it’s in order for people to get a paycheck to eat. Even if it’s for “leverage”. Nothing excuses that.

For those unaware, SAG-AFTRA is entering it's 7th straight month of striking interactive projects for enforceable AI rights. SAG-AFTRA contracts are protected by their legal staff--I can't afford a lawyer without the union. I am only working on projects signed to a SAG-AFTRA INTERIM AGREEMENT.
