Launching and validating an idea for a SaaS helping marketing agencies close deals. .com costs 3k, .ai and .io are available. GetSaaSName.com also available. Which domain do you go for?

Claude 3.7 sonnet is like that super smart friend who occasionally says genius things but spends 90% of the time going on wild tangents. You never know what’s next.

Mixed feelings about Claude 3.7 Sonnet. I spent all day using it for a mix of marketing research and coding. It does seem smarter but it also makes more mistakes and frequently forgets what its doing. Will keep using 3.5 for prompts requiring lots of output.

Looking into possibly buying a B2B SaaS. Anyone selling? Max budget is 20 - 30k.

Trying to decide whether I should pivot my existing B2C SaaS, create another B2C SaaS with different positioning… Or just validate B2B SaaS ideas and say bye to B2C. Tough choice.

I have a B2B SaaS idea I’m super excited about. - solves a real, quantifiable problem - solution feels like magic and value is obvious - can build a MVP in 2 weeks Will start validating next week and set up a few calls.

Considering two different positioning angles for my new SaaS Copycat Cafe. 1) Build Your Personal French Phrase Library - frenchtogether.com/library/ 2) Steal Native French Speakers' Exact Words - frenchtogether.com/copy/ Which resonates most with you and why?

I hate boring brands. I want a brand brimming your personality. The kind of brand some people will hate and others will love. Working on that for my next SaaS :)

Don't believe the lies about a PWA being almost as good as a mobile app. It's not. No matter how simple adding to home screen seems to you, your customers will not see it that way. You will also lose a ton of customers when people search the App Store and don't find your app.

B2C SaaS customer support in one screenshot.

I'm about to start building my new SaaS. I have the domain names, trademarks, social handles etc. I also generated a simple logo made of brand colors + Font Awesome icon. Should I get a professionally designed logo before launch or launch as is and get a better logo later?

Looks like Paddle suspended payouts because I’m using a personal bank account to receive payments for my Ltd company. Except that I’m not. I use and have always used a business account. I hope it will get resolved soon because not being paid really sucks.

Finally got to meet @benjaminhouy.bsky.social in Aachen last Sunday! He's the indie founder who accidentally canceled $50k/year worth of subscriptions with a single dev error. 😭 Funny story about that disaster: Read more: longer.blue/posts/7wc3j4...

3 years ago: Learned to code & launched my first SaaS with Rails. Rails made it a breathe but it never really clicked. Too much magic for me. What's a great alternative for a solo dev?

Why is everything in Germany so complicated? Trying to sign up for health insurance and they want to see a business plan before accepting me. That's after taking more than a week to get back to me after applying.

Anyone managed to get AI to generate images with text that's not gibberish? I have been trying to generate app mockups for a new SaaS idea but the results haven't been great. Tried with Le Chat and DALL-E-2.

Real talk: My SaaS is struggling. Competitors copied my once unique positioning, so I added more features! Except that users only really love ONE feature. New strategy: Take that ONE thing and build a laser-focused app around it.

Most language learners stay engaged 1 year max. Makes me wonder about lifetime plans. Pros: • Matches real usage patterns • More appealing pricing • No subscription fatigue • Higher upfront cash The SaaS playbook says never do lifetime but... maybe different rules apply here?

Hey language & travel founders! 👋 Just launched the French Together affiliate program and I'd love for you to join! • 30% recurring commissions (up to $52/year per student) • Super easy to promote (it actually works!) • Lifetime commissions = passive income Drop a "🇫🇷" and I'll DM you!

90% of B2C customer support is asking people to clarify their extremely vague complaints. The other 10% is asking them to restart their computer.

Quick question for language learning experts! Is this too complex for beginners? 🇫🇷 "Bonjour. Je voudrais un café et un croissant, s'il vous plaît." 🇬🇧 "Hello! I would like a coffee and a croissant, please." What's your sweet spot for dialogue/flashcard length? 🤔

📊 Trademark Registration Speed Test: Filed the same trademark in 3 jurisdictions: • EU: ✅ Registered in 3 months • UK: ✅ Registered in 4 months • US: 😴 Application not even reviewed Why is trademark registration so slow in the US?

Whoever said that Germans are efficient has obviously never set foot in the country. The only efficiency I have encountered here is an uncanny ability for making everything overly complicated. I miss the incredible ease of doing business in the UK.

Something I have been wondering for a while. Is it shady to use affiliate links in blog posts where you compare your own SaaS or product to your competitors? Asking for a friend.
