Generating an AI image uses about 1L of water on average. So if you are going to use AI, make sure to dehydrate yourself for 24 hours first.

It’s okay, I didn’t really want any savings anyway

So when Americans wonder why we care so much about their elections… this is why. Because it affects our savings, pensions and economic outlook as well. And we have no fucking say in it…

BBC: “More than one market commentator tells me that Donald Trump is having his Liz Truss moment - when markets lose confidence in the direction and competence of economic policy makers. When that applies to the world's biggest economy and biggest customer on the planet, the fear is universal.”

The thought that we might be entering into another worldwide depression will be hard to hear for most of us who don’t remember leaving the last depression.

Today is the blackest of Mondays

CRASH

In just a matter of days, Trump has managed to wipe over a years worth of gains in the world economy. The grim reality is this affects the small time savers the most: peoples pensions, people who invest in Stocks and Shares ISA’s etc. It’s brutal.

Antarctica Tariffs Announced It's about time those deadbeat slackers started pulling their weight... 🐧 💰 🐧 💰 🐧 💰

Congratulations America… enjoy those new prices.

Couldn’t be bothered with April Fools today, so am just keeping my girlfriend on edge all morning staring suspiciously at things around the flat. Told her to expect a big one this year. That’s it.

I have this sinking feeling in my stomach… whilst I am glad that Len Pen is barred from standing in the next presidential election, I worry history shows that it could come back to bite us all in the backside

He’s lost his fucking mind.

Happened to stroll past Checkpoint Charlie today after work. Once a gateway to freedom, now a reminder to read the fine print on security guarantees. Cold War relics sure hit differently when you’re not sure if the sequel is getting the same budget 😬

Do NATO countries have to come the US’s aid if it attacks itself? Cause that’s all I see happening right now

😆

How the world feels at the moment

Can somebody explain where the democrats are in the US? These are the people who are in a position to actually question the direction the US is going in… and yet, silence.

After the shower of shit that was today in the oval office, this is unsurprisingly picking up pace. Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...

This is opinion polling for the 2025 Canadian federal election. Look at the liberal party’s (red line) recovery in the polls in recent weeks. If it lasts, it’s surely one for the history books.

The spelling of this infuriates me.

Tesla ain’t doing great. Down 8% today and has fallen below the $1 trillion market cap

The UK's '2.5% of GDP by 2027' announcement is welcome. But let's be clear. That trajectory essentially allows the MoD to maintain programmes & plug growing holes in existing force structure, rather than any dramatic change, such as backfilling for American assets in Europe.

Starmer plans to increase defence to 2.5% of GDP. This is a step in the right direction, although arguably many will have been hoping for a figure closer to 3%. What is more concerning though is a decrease in the aid budget to pay for it, which will likely lead to many preventable deaths.

Keir Starmer, that backbone you’ve grown… it suits you!

Barbenheimer: we’ve got the best Oscars campaign of all time Conclave: hold my beer

Of course the awkwardness for Olaf Scholz is now that he must remain as Chancellor in a caretaker role until a new government is formed, which is likely to take weeks, maybe months - despite clearly losing the election.

Let me make it clear what this means if turns out to be true. If the CDU want to avoid working with the AfD, then they will practically need to work with every other party in parliament, and that securely gives the AfD a major voice in germany as the main opposition… to every party.

Posting this again today - have been seeing similar messages pop up around Berlin the last few days. “Voting right-wing is so 1933. No votes for the AfD!”

Put your arm down you tit. We can not stand by while these absolute arse’s deliberately cross the red line to normalise extremism in the west.

Well that didn’t take long. Sadly now we have to wait for it to be approved by the petitions team, so I will share it again if it get’s to the next stage
