For over a decade now I've been playing TTRPGs and the best piece of advice I can offer after that is thus: CONSUME YOUR DICE. FEED UPON THE SUPPLE AND VIBRANT PLASTIC GEMS. NEVER FORGET THESE WORDS AND NEVER LEAVE AN ICOSAHEDRON UNDEVOURED. ONLY THEN WILL YOU ACHIEVE A HIGHER PLANE.

I think while BG3 smashed it out of the park with how massive and grand it was. Pillars of Eternity still has me in the grips for absolutely bonkers the story is and the intricacy of its world and how it develops. It has definitely elevated itself as a comfort franchise at this point for me!

I am going to start a new personal system of reviewing games. And the criteria will be how easy or infuriating it is to use ladders or climbing in general. And if you don't have a dedicated "USE LADDER BUTTON" inside your game you deserve to step in a wet puddle in your kitchen, socks on.
