What's everyone up to this week? I have at least work for 2 weeks lined up and will start by finishing two articles for the Progress Telerik blog. 😎 Obviously, those are the January articles. 😆

Any highlights this week? What are you working on, or what library have you tried this week? I'm currently using Excubo.Blazor.Canvas to enhance an existing application with 2D drawings/visualizations.

Tomorrow, your timeline will be full of '5090' tweets. 😁

I try to stay on top of what's happening JS/TS web development and .NET. I use both for different projects and when I tend to use what I think fits better for a certain scenario. Do you think it's too much to keep up to date with two worlds?

Officially back to work after a well-deserved and definitely needed break at the end of the year. 🏝️ I rode 500 km on my indoor smart trainer bike between December 24th and December 31st. 🚴‍♂️ Ready for 2025. Let's go! 🚀

For whatever reason, I was suddely not part of the Creator Network (Recommendations) on Kit.com anymore. It's unfortunate because I lost many potential subscribers within the last 2-3 weeks. I have absolutely no idea why I was (without notice) excluded. Make sure to check your settings!

You have to buy a hardware server for a web application and a database server in 2024... Is there a reason to go lower than current gen. 8-core, 64 GB RAM, and 1TB SSD? Should be around $2k per server. I'm not debating buying an on-premise server at this point because it's not my (bad) decision.

This week, I: - learned about DNS A records - managed a Linux server - installed Pausible (self-hosted) - used nginx as a reverse proxy (first time)

It looks like I will take time off between Christmas Eve and the new year. 😎 I haven't done that in years. About 10 work days left in 2024. 😲

I'm starting to clean up my domains. After decades, I'm transferring them to a more affordable hoster and canceling the domains I don't need anymore (read: have never needed). 😀

You can only be great at Development and programming if you are truly willing to be bad at it first. If you are willing to be bad, pay attention and learn. If you do that, you will truly become great at this!

Just unsubscribed to a few mailing lists I don't really get value from anymore. I run an email newsletter myself, and it's fine if people unsubscribe because they have moved on and aren't interested in the topic anymore. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed by emails.
