Daniel Dale, as ever, doing the Lord’s work:

Stop calling these acts of deliberate malicious destruction mistakes — if you close your eyes and fire machine gun spray ceaselessly into a crowd claiming you just want to scare some of them off, it’s not a mistake that there are casualties.

We need more Marc Elias energy coming from our elected officials.

@raskin.house.gov: "The whole anti-corruption crusade is an absolute fraud. They started by decimating the ranks of the inspectors general. These are the people whose job is actually, day in and day out, 365 days a year, to ferret out waste, fraud and abuse in the departments and the agencies."

NEW: Nearly 1,000 career federal prosecutors have penned a letter to salute the bravery of those who stood up to the recent actions of Trump DoJ leadership. One of the signatures belongs to Jack Smith. www.thejusticeconnection.org/wp-content/u...

@politico.com 's motto is, "No one knows politics like we do." Except this Jack Blanchard character, who knows less than my 9th grader, who hasn't even taken US history yet.

i feel like it's an open question whether or not the flu vaccine will even be available next season

When you get your Catholic teaching so wrong the pope himself has to issue a correction ☠️

I had the honor to be the building host at work for an all day choral festival for treble voices and hearing these women and female presenting people of all ages, races, gender expressions, religions, beliefs all singing together was amazing. U.S. businesses that sold goods and services to USAID are in limbo, including American farms dealing in rice, wheat and soybeans purchased as food aid.

An important, essential column. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/o...

Ok here is the thing with action/praxis/protest/showing up: Sometimes you contribute by being a megaphone. Sometimes by being a wallet. Sometimes by being a physical body. Sometimes by being fuel or being relief. If you can’t be one thing at any given moment you can almost certainly be another.

If you're feeling inspired by Bishop Budde and are maybe a little Episco-curious, check out the Episcopal Church asset map to find a church near you. Most of is have online services so you can do a vibe check before committing to Coffee Hour! www.episcopalassetmap.org

Reason why I am an Episcopalian #372: women in leadership who are unafraid to speak truth to power youtu.be/xwwaEuDeqM8?...

The sun still came up. The dog still wanted to play, even though it's-2F. The executive orders will upend our family's way of life, but not dangerously so. And we will do what we can.
