'A Philosophy of Light' by Hannah Linden / @hannahl1n.bsky.social explores the quiet resilience of an octopus under a bloodmoon — a meditation on adaptation, cosmic indifference, and finding home in the dark. Read now! inksweatandtears.co.uk/hannah-linde... #InkSweatandTears #Submission #Poetry

I am actually very tired, thank you for asking, Langston Hughes.

Hello #poetry #prosepoem #flashfiction people! Please follow IS&T for a daily hit! bsky.app/profile/inks...

What a lovely evening! Wonderful poems all round - we travelled across the globe. @matthewmcsmith.bsky.social is a truly generous host- a privilege to get feedback and encouragement as poetry is such a solitary activity 🪶

TRULY BRILLIANT evening at the Black Bough open mic. Amazing talent. Almost everyone was there to roadtest their poems before their pamphlet/ book launches - some there for the buzz and the sharing. Humbling to host!!! Poets from Spain, Australia, Ireland, US, England and Wales.

Here’s a previous poetry episode of @bedsidereading.bsky.social which I was delighted to be part of- I wanted more doctors to know the beautiful work of the late Kathryn Bevis. Poetry can teach us so much about clinical practice 🪶❤️ www.buzzsprout.com/1880290/epis...

Thank you for reading and sharing today's poem - Sycamore’s Prayer by @poetsarahdoyle.bsky.social

The decline in social media engagement is probably overall a positive thing however it does make it difficult to get feedback on work. The podcast has a “send us a text” button if you would like to let us know what you made of it www.buzzsprout.com/1880290/epis...

Do have a listen to this lovely podcast. Something has had a munch on my daffodils -do enjoy e.e cummings beautiful poem discussed so eloquently 🥰

What I wrote when I realised that every single sx scene i ever saw on screen in my teens, every scream of pleasure, every yess and ohh and that’s it (except dirty dancing) was scripted by an older man.

I taught Meg Cox, who wrote this, when I ran Arvon courses.

Tara and I had a great conversation about chronic childhood illness and the effect on siblings as we took a deep dive into this poem- One for poets and healthcare professionals to enjoy @bedsidereading.bsky.social www.buzzsprout.com/1880290/epis...

Happy Saturday ! Maybe have a listen to our podcast? bedsidereading.buzzsprout.com/1880290/epis...

This is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of poetry, especially if you’ve always thought it’s not something for you. A wonderful podcast from @bedsidereading.bsky.social with @bethosmond.bsky.social And more to come, watch out for a new episode every Tuesday!

I liked this the first time I read it. And it has MASSIVELY grown on me each time after that. The optimal poetic trajectory 💜

Take a pause and download this episode. If you love poetry/ are scared of it/ don’t think it’s for you - a lovely discussion about a beautiful poem. I learnt lots - love that there is room in a poem for own interpretation and if a line feels spiky (my word) that’s ok - lean into and consider why.

But not yet, darling. Not yet. —Kim Addonizio
