ANALYSIS: Reeves’ growth speech that will be looked back on as a definitive moment for this govt. Entire Starmer project rests on growth & the success, or failure, of what Chancellor set out Growth is a fight Starmer & Reeves want to have - & they can't afford to lose news.sky.com/story/growth...

ANALYSIS: After suspicions about Southport attack ‘cover-up’, no wonder the public is confused The attack falls outside the definition of terrorism because police couldn’t identify the killer’s motive. Excellent analysis by @skymartinbrunt > news.sky.com/story/no-won...

And you can listen to what it was like to take the trip into Ukraine, the day with the PM/Zelensky and how Trump’s arrival to White House is changing the conversation to ending this war at the negotiating table rather than the battlefield on ED> Welcome to Trump World podfollow.com/electoraldys...

You can follow me on @bethrigbysky on insta. Will put the Ukraine story I made into my highlights

Watch full 11 mins on this link. We also talk about Trump, his return to power and what it means for global politics news.sky.com/video/uk-wil...

Went to Ukraine this weekend. Exclusive interview with PM on which he all bit confirms UK will play a role in European peacekeeping force should this be an outcome of negotiations to be led by Trump news.sky.com/story/uk-wil...

The idea of the pod is to have more informal, conversational exchanges that are a bit different than the ones you watch on TV which tend to be more formal, and much shorter… give us a try > podfollow.com/electoraldys...

What a hell of an episode it was. Listen in the car, and couldn’t believe how fast those 40 minutes flew by. So many things I want to comment on, but I’ll wait to listen to it again. Elon, Trump, Starmer, Conservatives. Phew.

Tulip Siddiq resigns as City minister. In letter to PM Siddiq said that while she had "not breached the ministerial code", it is clear that continuing as a Treasury minister would be "a distraction from the work of the govt” PM tells her ‘door always open for a return’ news.sky.com/story/pressu...

BREAKING | Tulip Siddiq resigns as government minister amid Bangladesh corruption probes

Fairly consistent pattern across polls with variation at margins - Labour have lost a significant chunk of vote since July - The Tories stuck somewhere around their low General Election vote - Reform have built on Autumn momentum, events of last week certainly haven’t hurt them

Have had a bit of criticism here from those who say me/broadcasters giving Reform too much coverage. Read the article I wrote. The point is, Reform is challenging Tories & becoming the (bigger) vessel compared to other parties w voters disillusioned in politics. How this plays out critical 2 next GE

Our first voting intention since the general election shows a close contest between Labour and Reform UK (12-13 Jan 2025) Labour: 26% Reform UK: 25% Conservatives: 22% Lib Dems: 14% Green: 8% SNP: 3% yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

Absolutely thrilled to be named Woman of the Year 2024 by WiJ alongside @cathynewman.bsky.social & Sam Poling. A huge honour after a huge political year & congratulations to @christinalamb.bsky.social for her Lifetime Achievement Award & rising stars @riannacroxford.bsky.social & Cree Summer

Reform just 1pp behind Lab, acc to YouGov poll for @SkyNews & pushed Tories into 3rd place - Lab 26% (35% in GE) - Reform UK 25% (15%) - Cons 22% (24%) - Lib Dem 14% (13%) - Greens 8% (7%) Column below looking at Reform & its threat to Tories/Lab in 2025> www.standard.co.uk/comment/nige...
