I’m in California, so I have two dem senators. But I called and left some messages anyway. I encouraged them to do everything they can with their voices and influence so that Hegseth is not confirmed. And I thanked the staffers for their work. It’s not a lot. What else to do?!

Today is *not* a “peaceful transfer of power.” It’s the completion of a violent coup attempt that began this morning four years ago. Yes, Trump won the ‘24 election; but he was only able to run because we failed to fully confront the fact of that violent coup attempt.
