I would like to put together something for kitchen witchery, sharing the tips and tricks I've come across and come up with over the years to make a recipe's magic extra potent. Would there be any interest at all?

#WitchMadness Day 29: What’s your favorite deck and why? My everyday deck is the Halloween Tarot by Kipling West and Karin Lee. I bought it for the artwork, but it quickly became my favorite. If I am doing a love reading, though, I almost always use the Rumi Tarot by Nigel Jackson.

#WitchMadness Day 29: How do you approach daily magical living? I buy either a Llewellyn's Spell-a-Day or an almanac so I can check the color for the day, and that is what I wear. I also recite certain small blessings/prayers throughout the day.

I've been distracted and unable to keep up with my #witchmadness posts, so I may answer more than one for today's date.

I love pecans. I utilize them in a lot of recipes for prosperity. I just took a butter pecan cake out of the oven. It smells so good I want to shove my face into it right now. #witchmadness #witchsky

For those of us who welcome a new year at the spring equinox #witchmadness #witchsky

Happy almost new year 😉

#WitchMadness Day 17: What’s a go-to divination method besides tarot? I like stichomancy/bibliomancy. I use my pendulum for yes/no.

#WitchMadness Day 16: What’s your relationship with your Book of Shadows? Okay, first of all, I've been heavily influenced by Laura Esquivel's "Like Water for Chocolate". My BoS and recipe book are one in the same, much like Tita and her cookbook/diary.

#WitchMadness Day 15: Do you use written or spoken spells more often? It's really a combination. I write a lot of petitions for spell work. I have a candle burning and I think or chant my intention while it burns. I also speak the intention into each ingredient if I am using herbs or something.

Here is a blog post I put together for Ostara for your #witchsky #witchmadness reading pleasure. Or not. 😁

Here is a witchy housekeeping schedule (that I need to get back into). Weekly tasks and rooms are divided by element/day of the week. #WitchMadness

#WitchMadness Day 14: What’s your favorite way to use cinnamon in magic? Eat it, of course! It's one of the key ingredients in my prosperity shortbread. I also roll candles in it for certain workings.

#WitchMadness Day 14: How do you use music or sound in ritual? I use music to get into the right state, to raise energy, and to ground. Sometimes I cleanse with sound by ringing a bell. This is a go-to for grounding:

#witchmadness Day 13: How do you record your magical journey? I have journals for everything - shadow work, tarot, manifestation, spells, and most importantly to me, recipes.

#witchmadness day 12: What’s your favorite astrological timing trick? I use this planetary hours calculator when I want to give my working extra "oomph". For example, I might do something for love on a Friday (Venus) in an hour of Venus to make it extra potent.

#witchmadness Day 11: How do you handle skepticism from others? I once told someone, "You worship a dead guy on a stick. Leave me alone."

#witchmadness Day 10: How do you work with tarot for manifestation? I've taken cards from an old deck and used them to create a vision board.

How many of you lovely #witchsky people have YouTube channels? I am always looking to add to my subscriptions.

#witchmadness Day 9: What’s your go-to way to break a hex or curse? - A hex is temporary, but a curse is forever. Like diamonds. lol I like the classic "return to sender". Write it all down, put it in an envelope, address it with their info and 'return to sender', and then burn it.

Day 8: What's a superstition you believe in? Lots. Aside from knocking on wood and throwing spilled salt, I won't open an umbrella in the house, go in one door and straight out the other, or walk around with only one shoe. My family has some odd ones. #witchmadness

We rest, we think, we let go of some things, but we don't start anything new. Not yet. Imbolc gets us ready, and Ostara says, "Go!" 4/4 #witchmadness

Some observe the new year at Samhain, some at Yule, but Ostara resonates most with me. New year, new beginnings, new life, right? We have the introspective seasons of fall and winter (we can also lump Mabon into this category) in which we sit with our plans. 3/ #witchmadness

Imbolc is a special time, sort of the pivot point from dark to light, if that makes sense. The in-between time begins at the end of the main part of the year at Samhain. 2/ #witchmadness
