Can’t wait to present at this event in July. The Hastings impeachment was a massive event, and has left all subsequent impeachments in the shade. I’ll be examining Edmund Burke’s trial speeches uses ideas about injustice borrowed from Judith Shklar. www.worcester.ac.uk/about/academ...

Amen! Here's my proposal... www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/abs/10.1...

Had a bracing conversation at @biapt.bsky.social 2025 on why political theorists should take political economy seriously.

Relaxing with the cats and an old episode of Top Chef after a busy few days at the York @biapt.bsky.social conference.

At least *someone* is getting to have a nap after a very successful (if I may say so myself!) BIAPT 2025 annual conference @biapt.bsky.social

Yesterday, I was formally presented with the 2024 Britain & Ireland Association for Political Thought (@biapt.bsky.social) Early-Career Prize, ‘in recognition of an outstanding contribution to research, teaching, and service in political thought’.

Off to York for the Britain and Ireland Association for Political Thought conference. It’s 7am and minus two degrees, but my scarf and @biapt.bsky.social hat match, so that’s something. #BIAPT2025
