My library found a dozen or so books on "controversial" topics at the bottom of the shelving units, where they had been dropped behind the shelves. We put those books on a display labeled "Hidden Gems" and "Lost and Found." And now we look under the shelves every week.

So yes, I am one of the people who was deeply distressed when Google Reader went away. I switched to Feedly, which has been an acceptable substitute. TIL I can plug a Bluesky URL, like a curated list, into Feedly, and never miss a skeet. I just think that's cool

There are a fair number of reasons why I might block someone here, but ultimately, what a lot of the blocking comes down to is "I saw you being an asshole." Maybe to me, maybe to someone else, maybe just in one's general expression to the world. They might disagree with my assessment. That's fine.
