Tip for #indiedevs for #boardgames 1) think of how your game will be in stores, I had a distributor tell me that stores wanted my game but wanted more packaging for it so 2) find ways to meet what the store wants, I got cardboard toppers and bags made so I could meet their needs :) #indiepublishing

Taking some new photos of Stones and Rivers and like how these came out! #indiepublishing #abstractgame #gamedev

On Friday last week I became a dad! It is a great experience and with it I am stepping back from my content making for a little bit. Gotta take care of my buddle of joy :)

#progress on my #skirmishgame #3dprinted #dice holder! The hex gives it a better grip hell than the square however did!

New iteration on the skirmish game mini die holder, current it can hold 1 die (d6, d10, and kinda d20) lmk what you think and if you would use it

Finally got my 3d printer working and have a #wargame #accessory that I would like to share! Lmk what you think!

To own and use a 3d printer is like having a car that decides if it wants to run that day

Showing off Stones and Rivers and my other games at Zulus Board Game Cafe! #indiegame

Since folks have been starting to follow me and this looked fun, let's go!

Nothing like trying to record your first long video and realizing your script is bad XD #youtubeproblems

I know it may be early but I thankfully booked a hotel for GenCon #planning #boardgames

Got a new starter pack made of designer, game news sources, and good designers I like to reference go.bsky.app/CxiFqYf

Also if anyone is wondering why the "me" in my videos is different my current avatar was a later creation

Coding up a first draft of each potential move that a piece could have. Another step closer for a AI bot player!

One of the less glamourous things that you have to do as a programmer and game dev is to refactor code/move it to a better spot. Currently doing this for making an AI player

Spent the morning improving some of the visuals and making them more modular for stones and rivers

Working on a mobile pngtuber app

For a bit now I am relaxing how to use Todo lists. I use to be annoyed making them but have realized it's because I was not doing at the right time. For me the list needs to be made the night before and added onto with accomplishments and surprises after. Wild.

Been taking time to improve digital stones and rivers with graph theory

Working on reworking some of the valid movement logic for stones and rivers digital Sometimes the approach is right but it needs to be better broken down

One of the joys of using 3d printing for production is becoming really good at fixing electrical and mechanical issues :/

Server work update, finally looks like I am done with the setup process. Time to do some multiplayer testing

My DNS and devops work paid off. Nice to see progress and hard work pay off!

Something you have to think about as a solo game dev is you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Today I started to learn about network engineering

There is something invigorating and validating about transitioning from the planning phase of a project to the doing phase

Long day of working the day job, not able to devote the brain space to the idea generator BUT instead it's always good to do some prep work.

Taking time to work on my idea generator app is great. It is good to see improvement and be able to make things faster!

It is great to take some time for grilling and working on some game designs

One of the cool things about understanding game dev and physics is to read physics papers about frisbee flight and be able to see how to implement it in a game.
