I was out at 7:30am this morning, and it really was still freezing. So much so that I went arse over tit on some ice and now have some lovely grazes on right elbow, hip and knee. But worth it to also hear the birdsong now filling my garden and the woods behind like a symphony orchestra. #spring

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. He went on to win Rookie of the Year & an MVP in ‘49. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in ‘62. His number 42 is retired throughout MLB. He also served in the US Army. #BlackHistoryMonth
