After talking to us, Wigan Council have revised proposals for their planned enhancement of Leigh Civic Square. Designs consider safety and creating a welcoming space for women and girls- including clear sight-lines, lighting, zones for activities/play, and a variety of social seating.

Big Local Jarrow's manager here, I #cycle everywhere, its my mode of transport. 90% of my journeys involve a driver taking my life in their hands (90% male drivers) by coming within 1 foot of my bike, often not by mistake. I can see why SO many people (esp women) stop cycling after a few outings.

On Saturday we facilitated a #photography workshop at Bilton Hall. Participants learned how to take better photos with their phones, edit them and share them more easily. We will have three more sessions available in the coming weeks. #DigitalInclusion comes in many forms.
