We need to fix this in #Denver... I'm proposing that we Update our bit.ly/DenverSnowRoutes to include all #NeighborhoodBikeways. cc: @denbicyclelobby.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy @bikedenver.bsky.social @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social @denverbiketales.bsky.social @americanfietser.com @strongtowns.org

Why didn't we get a #RoadDiet on 16th at Logan? The developer was required to install a new curb. Why not build it out into the street converting the #ProtectedBikelane into a #GradeSeparatedBikelane? #VisionZero cc: @americanfietser.com @bikedenver.bsky.social @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social

Almost made it through my morning school drop-off ride without a single dangerous interaction today! And then… @denbicyclelobby.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy @bikewalkbus.bsky.social @junechurchill.bsky.social

I’m endangered by car drivers every day. Reading Wes Marshall’s “Killed by a Traffic Engineer” made me realize we don’t have real data to show how dangerous our roads are. After encountering a plethora of dangerous drivers this morning, I decided to start an inventory: @denverbiketales.bsky.social

According to #Denver DOTI, "...crews will make every effort to plow through the #bikeDEN lane to the curb; however, during swift, heavy snowfall events, the plows will focus on clearing travel lanes for emergency access and the on-street bike lanes may become snow packed." denvergov.org/Snow

I don't understand why we can't plow at least some of the #BikeDEN routes in #Denver, like 16thAve. The Eastbound side has no parking, which should be quick & easy. The Westbound side only has parking from York St to Park Ave. Can't we ask residents to move their cars for a day?

Hey #BikeDenver & #WalkDenver in #CongressPark! I went out & cleared the alleyways & crosswalks from my street to Madison. I also cleared a decent amount of the door-zone bike lane West of Madison on the Eastbound side. Spots that I know to be a problem. Not sure, if I'll make it back out...

I’ve been really disappointed how the Denver mayor and so many city council members took the bike streets/safe streets pledge during their campaigns but now, closing on two years later, virtually no progress has been made. Please support this effort!

Scrolling through Reddit tonight and I came across this photo from the Palisades fire and I've got to say, the symbolism here feels impossible to ignore.

Do you think Mayor Mike Johnston & DOTI need to prioritize creating a network of "Neighborhood Greenways" by adding island diverters on Denver’s existing neighborhood bikeways every three blocks? bit.ly/NbhdGrnwys

#BikeDenver, your challenge is to surpass 20,000 now that we'll have access to the @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social data base for a full year! Report obstructions at www.bikelaneuprising.com after reporting to #311Denver.

We collected 20,002 bike lane obstructions in 2024

Hey #BikeDenver, do you live, work, or bike through #CherryCreek in #Denver? If so, then you should be aware of #DenverMoves:CherryCreek! denvergov.org/Government/A... There are some gaps that I would like to address for those interested in providing input.

What do you see? Many of the #BikeDenver #NeighborhoodBikeway branding signs were installed incorrectly. www.denvergov.org/files/assets...

Future "pinch-points" coming to Krameria St #NeighborhoodBikeway. My only criticism is that drivers will play chicken with #BikeDenver riders like I've experienced on the #PerryStNBW. Can we leave space to the outside for bikes to filter through safely?

@bikedenver.bsky.social The Denver Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Committee (MBAC) is seeking applications for new members in 2025, especially in council districts D2 and D9. Regular biking folks and those who are interested but concerned about biking safety are welcome to apply!
