She’s my favorite. #chappelroan

J’adore. 🧡

Biking. The best low impact way we can travel around on this beautiful world.

Our transportation infrastructure (airports, cars, streets, sidewalks, etc) were designed for able-bodied adult men. The data shows that the rest of us are at higher risk of injury/death while using these systems. But when they’re universally designed they benefit all—and bring more joy and care.

This beautiful world.

Bike + Sauna + Community + IRL conversations = The salve humanity needs.

😍

When you're in a very adult setting in a grown up lady outfit and are the only person holding your bike helmet...but then another woman walks in and swipes off her helmet as she takes a seat...it's love. 😍

My thoughts on why parents on bikes have historically done more to push forward bike infrastructure than cyclists in spandex, why the pandemic might have created the bike bus movement, and why most school transportation is deeply inequitable. Also why converse sneakers are the best bike shoes.

This headline sums it up. E-bikes change families lives—and mothers the autonomy and joy a minivan never will. Beautiful @elizabethendicott.bsky.social.

For the nerds: My frame is an all-silver Nishiki custom built by my husband. His is an original Bridgestone RB2, also custom. As a bike dude said to us today in the West Village “a couple of Cadillacs.” I my favorite bikes have always been 70’s Japanese frames.

My front lawn on a random Friday evening. Adult hang and kids roaming the neighborhood playing. 2 years ago we left the city because we honestly needed just 1 more bedroom and couldn’t afford the $3M+ condos! What I love about our community is we’ve proven you can create an urbanist dream anywhere.

For folks that volunteered for the Obama campaign in 2007, don’t you feel like we’re a pack? This elder millennial YES WE CAN spirit that we apply to everything? Are we lowkey holding the world together right now?

I kind of resent that this is “passport Barbie”, flying to the Netherlands to bike because America isn’t a place for biking.

Just out here trying to get more moms to ride bikes…and therefore re-connect to their bodies, the earth, their joy…and therefore question the patriarchal paradigm that has controlled their life and choices. 💅🏼

Hear me out…what if Bike Bus really is the answer to everything?

Bike Bus: Come for the much more joyful way to get to school and stay for the chaotic group selfie. 🥰 A reminder that there is still beauty, love, ideas, and warmth in the world…it’s just not the story that gets the most amplification.

Learn more to my interview with Smith Lane to hear why I believe the simple act of biking places makes mundane tasks truly magical: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

My advice in this article? If you build it they will come.

My work is done here.

Facts: Cyprine Odada, founder of Critical Mass Nairobi is my bike organizer inspiration. What a bad ass. So much to learn from her and what she founded.

Travel on U.S. roads in 2024 rose 1% to 3.28 trillion miles setting a new yearly record and topping pre-COVID 19 levels for the first time, the Transportation Department said Wednesday.

My only grift is biking. Go places, but rather than the journey to get there being hellish, the ride is almost always more fun than arriving at your destination.

My husband says I put together my #bikebus playlists like I think I’m about to headline in Ibiza at 4am 🤣. Because the world is crazy, I’m holding onto my bike joy more than ever. Here’s a silly mix of hits to enjoy: open.spotify.com/playlist/4xY...
