Speaking of Safety: Edge Lane Roads have the potential to reduce run-off-road (ROR) crashes even when no vulnerable road users are expected. Data from Eastern Road in Maine shows 11 ROR crashes in 13 and 1/2 years before ELR, zero in the 8 and 1/2 years following.
