Motorists - happy to put others in danger due to their actions but not themselves

Imagine the level of depravity a cyclist would have to stoop to in order to get a life sentence under proposed changes to the law. Seriously, how can THIS type of dangerous driving only get 11 years? Yet, we’re supposed to believe that a cyclist might get life for killing a pedestrian??

Look at this carnage on our roads. The life years lost is horrendous. The perpetrators will not have intended to kill these people, but it's the result of societal indifference to the danger posed by motor vehicles. Ultimately because governments refuse to address road safety.

I love my echo chamber where everyone values the humanity of other people and enjoys the arts.

Does anyone honestly think a cyclist would get away with no prison time if they used this excuse? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

No doubt. The bias against cyclists is pretty evident. But let’s see what happen when a cyclist says “the sun was in my eyes”. If they get away with it I’ll concede that cyclists are receiving no favourable treatment.

It’s rare to see someone genuinely dumfounded. It’s crazy that it seems that this had never occurred to him

I don’t really see the issue. Just say the sun was in your eyes. Problem solved

🚨 Elon Musk is responding to Tesla's HISTORIC sales crash by cutting back his government role. A lot has changed since we started being told to f*ck off out of Tesla stores 10 weeks ago. Watch out billionaires, the people are coming x

Things which are not like living next to a motorway: A school cycle track

Remember, Paris wasn’t “always this way.” Not that many years ago, Paris was choking in car traffic. And it wasn’t a safe place to ride a bike for transportation, so not many people tried. This is new. This is a result of deliberate vision, and bold leadership. Cities are a result of choices.

Thinking about cycling to The Netherlands. And by that I mean cycle to Harwick (80miles) jump on the ferry and cycle to Amsterdam, grab a coffee and cycle home. Probably a 3-5 day getaway. Anyone ever done anything similar?

“Grab him by the TESLACLES” is pretty good. My photo from #handsoff rally DC.

I kind of want to go

Something is fundamentally wrong with America when millions of dollars can’t buy you a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, the respect of your children, the silence of your baby mammas, or a functional penis implant.

Hey New York Times and Mayor Adams: in what world is a speeding driver with a suspended license killing three people an ACCIDENT? It's not an "accident," it's a result of terrible choices made by her and the political system that allows her to keep driving: www.nytimes.com/2025/03/29/n...

These dockless vehicles are out of control. We need automated fines for the owners and operators of these vehicles for any time they don’t park the vehicle in a designated bay. Local authorities have the powers to stop this. They just lack the will.
