“Excuse me sir has anyone ever told you that you look just like Sidney Crosby?”

Kind of want to get active on social media again but rebrand as a buff scientist or something

I’ve already read 6 books in 2025! Feels so nice to have more free time for reading!

Biomimetic cation rearrangements from @dirktrauner.bsky.social and his phenomenal student Jordan! Love seeing computations aiding synthetic strategies! A really great story and impressive chemistry! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

Did you know? Black Friday is named in honor of Rebecca Black, who invented Friday in 2011.

My cousin casually mentioning she’s about to do undergrad research in total synthesis 🫢

So in one of my papers I demonstrated this same sequential Grignard/Diels-Alder transformation. Nice to see this chemistry more thoroughly explored here! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...

And if I could talk to my 16 year old self I would tell him it gets better. (I parallel parked on the busiest street in my hometown without crying)

RIP Suze. 2007-2024

If you like total synthesis and Wordle, check out Synthordle, a retrosynthetic analysis game created by Shenvi Lab associates Kevin Zong (GS 2) and Jonah Luo (HS sophomore!). shenvilab.github.io/Synthordle/ Easy problems for Sophomore OChem, hard problems for advanced practitioners.

Do not confuse...

Hi everyone! I figure I should make my thread about “how the heck did I learn echem” so buckle up and hold onto your electrasyn!

I guess #chemsky is here now? Stay tuned for an unboxing video!

Organic chemists be like “I know a spot” and it’s a messy TLC they are convinced they can separate without a prep plate… or it’s Bluesky! (First post here the same as my first ever tweet)
