I grew up in the Eastern Ok-Arkansas areas, full of chicken processing plants that employ hundreds of Latino immigrants. Not one of those places, all Trump supporters, has been raided by ICE. The targets are specific —-as are the non-targets.

We are sending migrants who are pending asylum hearings to nations like Panama and El Salvador, not because they are criminal but because they are poor and people of color. Call it what it is. People from Cameroon, Pakistan and China have been sent to Panama. No phones, no papers, no medical.

The Trump administration is now planning on deportation of migrants to Libya including Laotian, Vietnamese, and Philippine migrants, and is in negotiations with Rwanda to receive migrants. The first flight may happen next Wednesday. The cruelty and inhumanity of this process is staggering.

Have you noticed? ICE is taking students and persons who have been given sanctuary but they are ignoring one area where migrants, legal and illegal are huge in number. Packing plants. Beef, pork and chicken plants have not been affected. The focus ignored any that affect meat processing.
