Quick walk down the Cley East Bank this evening but, failed to see the Twite, bummer - I did see this Spoonbill, close to and unconcerned!

The local Tawny owls are rather noisy this morning, insomnia has some benefits, laying in bed listening to them hoot and screech for the last hour, who needs sleep anyway!

It's been a great winter for Goosander at Cley, these 2 of 3 on Bayfield Lake this morning show well but, a pair of Raven overhead stole the show!

I see these offshore on numerous occasions but, never well or for very long - shame it had to die, to afford me a better view!

Looking forward to Liverpool's FA Cup match today, Accrington Stanley at Anfield, no birding from lunch time for me!

Just watched a movie called, Nobody, a great film - all the more enjoyable when they played, You'll never walked alone, by Gerry and the Pacemakers!

Great day today, dry, sunny but a cold wind, good sunset but, I couldn't get the sun in the frame too!

Not my favourite wildlife in the garden, a male Muntjac, photo shot thru the kitchen window!

Recent early seawatches off Cley produced very little of note! This morning though, 3 drake Goosander and 22 Goldeneye, were unusual at this time of year - not driven west by cold weather in Europe?

5 Caspian gulls seen on North scrape at Cley NWT reserve this evening, an adult, a moulting 4th winter and 3 1st winter - all 3 1W seen in same sweep thru the flock! Most I've seen this autumn/winter, close to the screen too!

Another good morning's Sea-watching today, 14 Little auk, 3 groups of 3 and, all close inshore - with one group of three over the beach and, Eye Field. Lots of Eider west, a few Kittiwake but, not much else!

I spent most of the day Sea-watching at Cley beach car park, sheltering in the Beach Hotel, seeing; 7 Little auk, Red-necked & Slavonian grebe. 2 Velvet scoter, 3 Bonxie, 11 Eider and 2 ad Little gull. Another day tomorrow, weather should be better!

Finally saw the juv Tundra Peregrine, on its favourite gate post on Cley NWT. 3 drake Goosander, a drake Velvet scoter & a 3W Caspian Gull, all west offshore.

Jumping ship from X, far too much politics for me! Interested in birds and Wildlife, Liverpool football club and, very little else!
