Fellow oldheads, get your votes in. I really want to see what people were playing on their DOS machines!

With so many real life delays, it was tough getting the PS1 results discussion up this week. But even though it's late, it's finally live and I'm back on schedule! So join me, @jon.gvg.io, and @ash.gvg.io as we give our thoughts on the Top 10 Greatest PS1 Games results! youtu.be/glgb-SRIYik?...

When I streamed the Castlevania series years ago, there were certain games I skipped since I was focused on western releases or there was just no way to play them. Starting tonight I’ll be fixing that with first of three playthroughs in “House of Castlemania” with Vampire Killer for MSX!

Believe it or not, DOS is only 30 votes away from tying the amount for the Sega Saturn. Let's see if we can get it a bit more representation before voting closes Sunday.

I have a question I never really thought about before. Is it better to buy games off GOG or Steam? I already have Steam, but I've heard good things about GOG over the years. I'm gonna get Ys 1 & 2 Chronicles+ soon and it's the same price on both. But which is better for that and future Falcom games?

SO! City of the Wolves. I was garbage at first but I did start clicking by the end as I understood more of the systems. It's more a matter of me needing to remember my toolkit. I had a lot of fun and even won a few matches. Unsurprising main is Hotaru but I'm shocked how much I clicked with Kain.

Tonight's stream should be a lot of fun because I finally get to play Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! Let's see if any of my experience playing KOF '94-'98 helps me in the slightest! www.twitch.tv/bitnerdgames

Holy shit, Blast Zero is actually doing all the animation for the Samurai Pizza Cats game on paper.

I know it’s not the most graphically intense game but it still feels good to download the City of Wolves beta and have the graphical settings cranked to max by default. Didn’t have a chance to actually play but I’m excited. Also question, is Vsync something I want on or not?

There are over 100 votes so far which is honestly a pretty good showing for DOS. I’m not much of an old school computer gamer myself but even I was able to come up with a solid list of 15 that I had to pare down.

It's a milestone tonight as the Mega Man-ia Marathon reaches his first playable crossover, Marvel vs. Capcom 1! It's my first time trying this particular game, but I'll be sticking exclusively to Mega Man and Roll. Let's see how they play in this game! www.twitch.tv/bitnerdgames

As far as I know, all of my small computer issues have been addressed outside of getting my Bluetooth keyboard to connect. Then I can focus on formatting my new NVME hard drive which I think will be the Game Drive. Hopefully it’s not too hard to move existing stuff like FF14 over there.

Announcing the Top 10 Games of All Time for the N64! 1. Super Mario 64 2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 4. Banjo-Kazooie 5. Paper Mario 6. Super Smash Bros. 7. Star Fox 64 8. Mario Kart 64 9. Diddy Kong Racing 10. GoldenEye 007

It took about 6 hours and there’s still troubleshooting left to do, but I successfully installed all my new computer parts on my own while being coached by a friend. Not as stressful as I thought but man some parts were a pain, especially with my bigger fingers. But hey, it’s (mostly) done!

N64 tallying FINISHED! And hopefully future tallying made much simpler in the future. Special thanks to @wombatjanitor.bsky.social for their help in making the process even simpler. But with 1244 votes and a LOT of title variation, it still took a while. Hopefully I can post the results tomorrow!

I want to give a heads up that the PS1 discussion won’t likely be live until Thursday as tonight I’ll be working with a friend to upgrade my PC with brand new parts. I’m hoping it’ll be seamless but you never know so fingers crossed. Really hoping this doesn’t delay a bunch of things.

I haven’t had time to submit my own DOS list yet but you should definitely off yours! Between Doom, Wolfenstein, Sierra, and LucasArts, there’s a ton of classics and many more I’m sure I’m forgetting!

Kai was asleep for less than four hours, essentially waking up 15 minutes after I streamed and prepared to work on the PS1 video. I don’t know how I’m going to catch up if this kid doesn’t sleep. I’d like to avoid melatonin but jeez I’m starting to lose my mind.

It's time to start a very different playthrough over on Twitch! Today I'm starting my first encounter with the PS1 RPG, Koudelka, which is apparently the precursor to the Shadow Hearts series? I'm curious so come check it out with me! www.twitch.tv/bitnerdgames

After the insanity that was the 1-2 Punch of the PS1 and N64, I need a break. So this week, I want to know your Top 10 Games released for MS-DOS! Let's give another spotlight to these early computer players. And for the sake of tallying PLEASE check your spelling. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Oh the grid is there but it’s cleverly subtle. The tile floor & square window spacing conveys the same info with some flair. But it’s the Live or Nightmare graffiti that stands out to me. I didn’t think they’d resurrect Geese, but now? Who knows? A new Nightmare fight would be a great bonus though.

Mostly recovered and trying to catch up on all the work I’m behind on. But that means a lot of N64 counting and my brain is mush. However, I won’t be able to discuss the results until Wednesday so posting them will have to wait until then. But nearly 1300 votes is so much damn counting.
