I could tell you but I’d have to bore you. Fan of tuna noodle casserole and ugly music. Alabamian lucky enough to live on Vancouver Island. I talk too much about tabletop role-playing games.

“What if a warehouse, but more confusing”

Friday: “end” trade talks with Canada, so stocks get dumped over the weekend Then Monday: folks in on the scam buy low And on Tuesday: hey presto, talks will resume, market bumps back up I guess this is how it works now with zero oversight cool cool cool

Second pot of coffee required to assure smooth Fridaying

Surely there’s a way to get the Bobby Hill “I don’t know you!” sample as my ringtone for unidentified callers, there’s like a data center draining a river somewhere devoted to that very thing by now

If you see this, post an image you saved because it made you laugh.

I hate email Nothing good ever happens by email Or if it does, it gets shunted to my spam folder and I never see it and the more you ignore it, the worse it gets, like everything else in life fucking hate email

A lot of ink being spilled over Mamdani’s win in NYC - “Democrats can learn from this” “power of canvassing” etc etc. And sure, he’s a truly gifted politician, a natural. But wasn’t ranked choice voting just as big a factor?

Happy 99th birthday to Mel Brooks

In the ER (spider bite, nbd, just getting it looked at.) There is a couple in their 80s. She is reading on her tablet. He is wool-gathering, dozing off. Their hands, intertwined, share an armrest. She taps his palm. “Boop.” She says. He taps her palm. “Boop boop back.” ❤️

“I feel like you mistook my two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for enthusiasm” is how I’m henceforth going to respond when called on my bullshit

news is awful post a Godzilla

It is both sad and somewhat comforting that one of life’s most reliably available small pleasures is a fountain Sprite from McDonald’s

Hey! So, funny story — turns out that for all those checks and balances to work you need someone actually bothering to do the checking and balancing! Huh. 🤔

Romantasy is over. It’s all about rorror now. But I’m bucking trends and writing a horrantasy about a romance novelist. Who is in love with a pirate queen. It’s a romventurrortansy.

"The frog receives a text message asking him for three dollars."

Get up, get up, I’m still technically on vacation

We ordered a pizza. It’s great to be able to order a pizza. I live a life of unearned abundance and privilege, and people bring me pizza. And I believe that you, too, whomsoever or wherever you are, should also be able to order a pizza. Because round spicy food is important.

Chonk in sunlight

I wouldn’t know, I have the memory span of a gnat, everything is marvelously and terribly new, every time

This is incredibly beautiful storytelling.

Yeah the theme tonight is Nailbomb, I guess

Man that one Nailbomb record is still fucking great 30 years later Or maybe I’ve had three beers Both of these things are true

You know what aged well? That one Nailbomb record. People may disagree. IDC, I’m still right about this one tiny thing

There is a beer in my belly and a cat in my lap and for this one single moment the universe is poised in perfect equilibrium

I should listen to the new Swans record but I’ve yet to muster the mental fortitude to do so

Played Lasers and Feelings with family members I’d never met, none of whom had ever played a TTRPG before. We had a blast! The next day Aunt Gloria comes up to me and says “I couldn’t sleep! I need to know what happened to the Librarien within the Space Anomaly. Can we play again?” HOOKED ONE

If we win the lottery I could totally see living in Revelstoke. I liked that little town. A lot. Too bad I don’t ski. No, I am not learning now. No, it will not be a fun adventure. No. But Revelstoke? Yeah, it’s dope af

Alberta confirmed many of my pre-existing biases. Yee freakin haw. Edmonton was sad because they lost the hockey. I didn’t get much of an impression of the place, bad or good. What little I saw was pretty ok, tho!

Back home. Glad we went, glad we’re back. Met some fam, visited Alberta, saw a slice of Edmonton, traversed the glorious Canadian Rockies. Explaining this to my cat will take some doing.

Skyrim RDR2 Slay the Spire

Brandywine Falls

Passing thru Whistler. Looks like it’d be fun if I skiied and had millions of dollars and, I dunno, some sort of yawning void at the centre of my being that needed filling with hedonism
