I picked this up on CD a long time ago, and immediately realized how fantastic it was. Recently, I killed my streaming music account and am now using only music files on my phone for driving, and only files for which I own the physical product. My CDs are long gone so I looked for this and got it.

The title can't be seen in the picture, but this is Yumi Iwaki's "Spin a Tale," on the wonderful Muzan Editions label. Very worth the purchase. Here's the link. muzaneditions.bandcamp.com/album/spin-a...

As it's now public domain, I started rereading "Red Harvest." Shocking, but not surprising, how on point it is in 2025.

Tadd Dameron is one of those under-recognized great musicians, for me, and in my case I'd read his name for decades before really investigating his music about 7 or 8 years ago. As an aside, these Prestige two-fers, as they say it, are fantastic, by and large amazing values at this point.

It’s rough when an otherwise sympathetic character in an otherwise enjoyable book makes a nakedly racist comment without response from either other characters or (in this case) the author himself. Fortunately I don’t have the compulsion to finish books on principal.
