Very left of center. Have husband and cats. Had kids, but they got out. Knew I should have had them chipped. Left that other place when NepoBaby bought it. Writes and takes photographs. Deals with stress by cooking and baking bread. Lather, rinse, repeat.

For those in the back of the room, I'd just like to point out that with at least three special elections coming up, we're not that far away from House Speaker Jeffries. You know the assignment. Vote, if you're in those districts. Phone bank, postcard if you live someplace else.

You know, we lost tourist $$$ last time around, and three quarters of a million people died because a pandemic was mismanaged. That a third of the population was hoodwinked again doesn't surprise me. That 36% couldn't get off their butts and vote to prevent this from happening again does.

Look! I named a gulf! It's a thing that both cool kids and corrupt politicians are doing! And it's fun! I may do it again, and you can too! gulfof.mapquest.com?name=Resist+...

That would be drug using idiot.

Mingus Ah Um is one of my 10 favorite recordings, so today for #BlackHistoryMonth, Charles Mingus, 1922-1979. Upright bassist, composer, bandleader, proponent of improvisational music, jazz would not be the same without his influence. here's Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2x3...

Happy #Caterday! Here is a smol cat with blep, colonizing the pantry.

The #ACLU is opposing DOGE. You are, too? Great! Click on the link to send a message to your elected officials. action.aclu.org/send-message...

Today for #BlackHistoryMonth, assemblage artist Betye Saar, b1926, still working. She is also a printmaker, was part of the Black Arts Movement of the 1970s, which looked at stereotypes of race and femininity. Here, one of her best known works, "Black Girl's Window."

These are all important action items, and something very important to remember: we have the numbers. We can win.

It's still #BlackHistoryMonth and here's a twofer. Bisa Butler (b. 1973) is a visual artist using quilting to create portraits that look like painting. Shirley Chisholm (1924-2005) was the first black woman elected to congress. And here's Bishop's portrait of Chisholm.

When I drive down the New Jersey Turnpike and see raptors, I'm filled with joy and hope. When I was a kid, we learned that they would become endangered species in my lifetime. Now when I see them, I feel, for a brief instant, that there's hope for the world and that our country will persevere.

Because I’m on a mini-vacay, no #BlackHistoryMonth bio today, but a reminder that when #Felon47 and his buddies talk about #DEI, they are telling you they think no black person can ever be as competent or deserving as a mediocre white guy. #Resist

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._E._B... Because I’m on a weekend trip, I’m providing you with information about W. E. B. Dubois, educator, orator, and civil rights activist, 1868-1963. Here you go. #BlackHistoryMonth

Happy #Caterday!
