Storms brewing down here.. Welcome to March. Even though Ottawa escaped the worst of the storm, it is decidedly coming in like a lion 🦁. Temps may briefly climb this morning (with a risk of fr. rain), before dropping under gusty WNW winds. Very cold into Sunday 🥶. Stay warm.

This trail, onward towards the sun until it ends (Greenbelt). This model shows the likelihood of getting over 30cm from the coming storm. Much less along the St. Lawrence and more to the north and west of Ottawa. A subtle move in the storm track will obviously have a hand in total snow amounts. #ONStorm

It may seem like Winter has us firmly in it’s snowy grip but consider this. We have gained almost 1 1/2 hours of day length since the Solstice back in December. We gain almost 3 mins a day and that pace is accelerating. In just one month from today, sunset is AFTER 7pm. 🤔
