My copy arrived yesterday. It's one of those wonderful books that you can pick a page at random, start reading, and instantly find yourself immersed in another world. Fifty stories and poems by incredible African/African Diaspora authors. You want this. #spaceistheplace Link in first comment.

This book was a devastating look at poverty and racism in the south and the things people resort to doing just to get by. @blacktopkid.bsky.social is a master at pulling the reader in with suspense and creating empathy for his characters. Just fantastic! www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I thought...a frozen land meant the race is over lol

KING OF ASHES is dark (okay most of my work is dark lol ) But KOA is a different. I talked to Dennis Lehane once and he said when he wrote DARKNESS TAKE MY HAND he had to walk away from the shadows for a long time I never felt that way until KOA Just know if u cry reading I cried writing it 😢

Finishing up King of Ashes by @blacktopkid.bsky.social His books never disappoint.

KING LEAR is my favorite Shakespearen tragedy ( Henry V my favorite of the military epics and Hamlet my favorite overall ) Because Lear is the most aggressively human of the tragedies Pride ,jealousy, and the cost of fear ..

2025 Reading Challenge Book 13 Razorblade Tears by @blacktopkid.bsky.social ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Folks like to talk about revenge like it’s a righteous thing, but it’s just hate in a nicer suit" Wow, sensational. I was a blubbering mess at the end. #BookSky 📚💙 #LiteratureSky 📚💙 #Books 📚💙

Travis Woods has penned a beautifully grotesque examination of one of the Great Crime films of all time BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA. And in doing so he allows to peer into the heart of darkness of one of our great filmmakers www.brightwalldarkroom.com/2018/12/21/p...

Round here we keep a sawed off pool cue with electrical tape on the cut end for a good grip for conversations with Nazis

Look what came in the mail yesterday! I'm excited to start this collection filled with stories from so many authors I enjoy and more that I've been meaning to check out. @shereereneethomas.bsky.social and @geraldcoleman.bsky.social are both big deals at this year's #JordanCon. 💙📚 #wotskies #booksky

Musk's tribe of Lost Boys thought probationary meant employees were in trouble at work ...instead of understanding they were on probationary status for new positions 😕 Nothing worse than a dumb person who thinks they're smart

83 years ago today, 120,000 Japanese-Americans were sent to internment camps across the country, simply due to their ethnicity. This shameful chapter of American history exists in living memory, as does its lesson — that unchecked executive power threatens our basic constitutional rights.

From my event at my hometown library today Thanks to everyone who came out!

5 out of 5 stars for KING OF ASHES by S.A. Cosby, Flatiron Books: Pine & Cedar, June 10. So intense, I had to force myself to put it down more than once. And has a shocking reveal. #ewgc
