Just a reminder that in 2018, Palestinians in Gaza mounted the Great March of Return to PEACEFULLY show the world their plight. They walked, unarmed, to Israel's military fences around Gaza in peaceful protest. Israel shot 8,000 with live ammunition, killed 220 Palestinians. 36,143 in total injured.

I’m sure that things will get really good for everyone once all the trans people are annihilated. You just have to keep at it and you’ll finally be happy :) you’ll have a good job and salary and you won’t worry about your health. All of that can start once the trans people are dead for some reason

Johnny Fever would never snitch

Did you just tell the trans community you're currently throwing to the wolves that their anger is made up You know what, fuck you. You don't get the benefit of the doubt any more after behaving indistinguishibly from a centist Rep or a fucking 4chan psyop You are not safe to be around.

Anyway ice cream time 🥰 turns out our local Baskin still has peppermint ice cream in stock and this makes me super happy as it is *impossible* to find proper peppermint ice cream outside of December and we don't own an ice cream maker

Skywatch has been a pretty darn good labeler, especially compared to the alternatives, and I use it myself, so it is with love that I push back on this Creating and publishing a label *is* an editorial comment, and it *is* a statement of judgment, regardless of the presence/lack of other text

This sets up the situation against the signer(s) by providing situational pressure that can easily be misperceived as independent of any personal irritation at the signer performing due diligence. "It's not me that is the problem, it's The Schedule™" But scheuduling was a choice!

It's especially egregious when the party representing your interests specifically schedules a meeting to sign documents but does not schedule time to read them nor provide them ahead of time so that the reading would be a verification instead of full-ass comprehension and synthesis of legal language

Weirdly, I've gotten more pressure to "just sign it" from people who are supposedly on my side representing my interests than I have from parties on the other side of the table. Not sure how that ramifies but it's a disturbing phenomenon

Social pressure in the moment is a powerful force, one that can override even the most careful reasoning brain. This is a reminder to carefully read any and every document you sign. Even (Garak: *especially*) if it's a big document or other people present are in a hurry.

Seconded

Reminder to Friends: For various reasons I'm not able to attend protests in person but I do think they're important work. If you're protesting: -against our fascist government -against the genocide in gaza -for access to housing, food, and healthcare for all And I can help, hit me up.

Nobody likes an I-told-you-so, gang, but I gotta reiterate: Fascism is not a deviation from capitalism, it is a consequence of capitalism The failure of liberalism to stop fascism is not an unforeseen accident under capitalism, it is a necessary and inevitable feature of capitalism
