If you do not need to mainline US politics for your job, I strongly recommend not cooking your brain in live news updates unless you enjoy the feeling of professional energy vampiricism, anxiety and constant rage-baiting. And charge your phone away from your bedroom.

At this time I can report that there are two cats. How many cats will there be at the next observation?? Stay tuned!

"The big AAA game that takes a dim view of our eventual AI robot overlords" continually getting skunked in seemingly impossible ways is maybe the best evidence yet of Rokko's Basilisk

finally got around to setting up a local dev environment for p5.js and it was so worth it. editor.p5js.org and openprocessing.org are great but I miss working in an editor I know and having better control over how my sketches are laid out on disk and in the page

do you think smaug has a twin named smagg who hordes silver?

I need a browser extension that blocks all reaction videos on youtube. Bonus if it also blocks people making dumbass faces in video thumbnails

AI companies scraping data: Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!! AI companies having their data scraped: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck.

Today's post is about a fairly obscure video game magazine from the early 00s that spent *two years* clowning on a reader who wrote into say that he didn't like Final Fantasy VIII

The OG waifu prompt engineer

I shall not be clarifying

the first 20 minutes of the first patreon episode of The Besties is already well worth the price of admission. Big sleepover energy indeed.

"you get used to it" is a sure sign that something needs to be fixed

Also and unrelated I notice that I’m making many more typos than I used to, and that I’m not noticing them in time. That’s a little concerning.

There was a time when my career was on a trajectory that would have afforded my the luxury of stating my own terms re: location but that is long past and I can’t get back there on a timeline that makes sense

I want to leave, move somewhere smaller. But now that my industry has decided that everyone has to be in the office all the time so they can sit at their little desks and not talk to each other… I feel like I have to stay in a major city if I want a job.
