One way to decide you're done with a hobby I suppose is to accidentally destroy your equipment when you're getting ready to move. RIP resin printer. Your demise made a decision I've been agonizing over much easier.

Hey all, if you're playing the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves beta and want to give feedback please use these forms to submit feedback: PDF - www.snk-corp.co.jp/us/games/fat... Player Questionare - forms.office.com/pages/respon... Issue Report - forms.office.com/pages/respon... #FATALFURY #COTW

#FatalFury beta test runs perfectly so far via whatever default compatibility tool Steam is choosing on #Linux. Probably means it runs well on the Deck, too.

Both of those Blood Bowl teams together helped me understand that the standard approach of layered acrylics wasn't going to work for me as a general method for painting miniatures. This shit took *forever*.

For the sake of symmetry here's the Orcs from the same box. They weren't finished until about a year later.

These humans from the Blood Bowl 2016 boxed set were the first models I painted that weren't meant for D&D since returning to the hobby.

Yup

This lizard person was for a campaign in which I - basically the forever and always DM - finally got to be a player character. Had a lot of fun chewing the scenery as Kroq'xa the lizardfolk druid.

Facebook's algo has decided I'm into muscle mommies. Must be all the wargaming, TCG, and miniature painting groups I'm a member of.

What a great collection. CVS2 is my forever favorite fighting game, and I can't wait to get absolutely smoked by all the people who actually know how to play it.

Idunno how it happened but I just caught myself scrolling Bluesky on two devices at the same time.

I'm not sure I have it in me to sustain another decade of being permanently enraged, but I'm sure going to try.

Happy to report that #VF5 R.E.V.O. runs perfectly on Linux with whatever default compatibility shenanigans steam is doing. #fgcsky

The worst thing (in my experience) about a back injury - worse even than the sometimes terrifying physical pain - is the way time seems to stand still as your whole life is put on hold until you're physically able to do simple things again.

Caught the grand finals of Blazing Strike at Frosty (waiting for cvs2). What the fuck is this shit? Command grab infinite meta? Yikes.

Just an FYI, you can easily ban Twitter/X links in your Discord servers with Discord's built in tools. Server settings -> Safety Setup -> AutoMod -> Block Custom Words. Add these in "Choose your words": *://twitter.com*, *://x.com*

I big-time recommend customizing your controllers. Designing this for my T13 was super fun, so much so that I'm thinking of buying another controller just to do it again.

Thankful for a weekend full of #fgc content from @frostyfaustings.bsky.social while I convalesce on the couch.

This lil guy was meant to be one of a whole party of villainous adventurers who would show up in my campaign to act as foils to the player characters. I abandoned the idea before I finished painting his pals, though.

TRENT BAALKE GOT FIRED, ROBERT SALEH REHIRED AND NOW WE GETS TO KICK THEM TIRES ON MY MOST ANTICIPATED GAME OF 2025!!! See y'all out there! #FATALFURY #COTW #FTTB

This Reaper Bones dragon was the model that made me buy my first dirt-cheap airbrush. It took some time but today there's hardly a single model I paint that doesn't involve firing up the compressor.

i sent an email to DOGE and suggested replacing the entire Department of Defense with Warhammer 40,000 miniatures but they actually did the math and it turns out that would be much more expensive

These toothy little goblins are the first models I was truly happy with the basing of.

The old D&D boardgames were/are a decent source for cheap minis. This Ettin was the first larger than human sized 28mm figure I painted.

Let's continue our journey through my history as a miniature painter. This is from 2016 when I picked the hobby up again, probably the 10th or so figure I painted. Note the total lack of a face!

Someone do the math for me: I smoked for 15 years, quit for 11. I'm 41. How many years do I have to wait to start smoking again before my risk of death from lung cancer is about equal to my risk of death in a car crash?

This is too goddamn funny.
