Why do people insist on calling him “Elon” as if he’s some kind of eccentric but essentially, lovable relative. The guy is a fascist, a Nazi, pure and simple.

Byes being signalled (only cricket lovers would understand).

A fascinating area to stroll around and in unseasonably mild weather too, before the rain set in again.

Also paid a visit to the wonderful Hawksmoor church of St. Anne’s Limehouse. This too has an air raid shelter in the crypt, although this sadly wasn’t accessible today. It does have a pyramid in the churchyard though! The church also has a special warrant to fly the White Ensign from their staff.

Went for a walk around Limehouse in the East End today and came across this “S” “Shelter for 250 Persons” on the wall of the Church of Our Lady Immaculate and St Frederick in Commercial Road.

One thing the Silvertown Tunnel definitely won’t do is reduce congestion. The usual rubbish being peddled by TfL.

Freddie and Freda Fox having a sniff around my garden late this afternoon!

Our groundsman has been hard at work today at Ickenham Cricket Club. It’ll soon be time for me to start on the outfields!

An attempt at a “then and now” shot today at West Ferry Road. “Then” was in 1968 taken by Mick Webber, when the area was dominated by West India & Millwall Docks and the same spot today. The letter box has been moved slightly but the buildings are almost totally different.

Took myself on something of a trek from Greenwich, around the Island and up to Tower Hill, with a beer stop at the end. Here’s a few images from along the way.

The launch slipway of Brunel’s “Great Eastern” at Millwall, Isle of Dogs, together with the outline of a V-1 impact from 1944. #woodwednesday

Oh God, they’re talking about doing away with woke, gay culture and inclusivity now. I’m off!

A middle age (British) couple sitting close to me in the pub who are loudly discussing Trump/Musk and basically saying how they’re doing such great things for America. I feel like throwing my Guinness at them.
