Can confirm that watching Andor manages to make watching Rogue One even better. Considering that Rogue One has been my personal favourite of the movies, that's impressive. Some lines hit so much harder.

The problem with taking a "break" from writing is that all that mental space I was using is suddenly freed up and so of course anxiety, like the weed it is, is the first thing to set its roots.

one thing i hope andor causes is more rebels cosplay everyone wants to dress as the evil, faceless fascists but andor shows that the good guys have much cooler coats

As we wind down the andor posting i would like to note the beautiful symmetry of Nemik's manifesto boiling down to "i have friends everywhere" while the isb eats itself and the conference room gets emptier and emptier

The thing about all 3 last episodes dropping at once is that I want to babble at how amazing the first one was but I dare not look at the internet right now because I know people are rightfully ramming through all 3 at once and I cannot!

Pretty comfortable saying that Syril Karn is one of the all-time great Star Wars characters, and this @jwhitbrook.bsky.social write-up is a good exploration of why

I need someone to write about how the Dedra/Syril and Bix/Cassian relationships are mirrors of one another and how it structures season 2 of #Andor. Where love and freedom are not possible under fascism.

Bloody hell Andor. Mon Mothma’s speech is going to go down as one of the best things Star Wars has ever put out.

I totally get Tony Gilroy's decision for the S2 story structure, especially on a pragmatic level, but I would seriously love to see the years in-between detailed in novels and/or comics. There's just so. much. good. stuff. that gets alluded to that I'd love to see play out.

every gender transition is a statement in favor of human possibility and freedom and i’m tired of hearing it talked about like it’s some kind of disease

Sat down to watch episode 1 of season 2 of #Andor, ended up blazing through all 3 episodes in one sitting. It did not disappoint.

Digital sketch of everyone's favourite worried little guy, B2EMO in honour of tonight's debut of Andor Season 2. #StarWars #Andor

Lies. It is beloved and people should read it.

Giggle

It says a lot about you whether you read TOS as Terms of Service or (Star Trek) The Original Series.

Satire remains dead.

I never know what to do with surprise art except squeal and babble, but dang Rod. They really captured the soft boys. Those halos! 😭

Magician Gale Magician Gale (based in Hot Mess by @patheticfangirl.bsky.social please go read it its so good) archiveofourown.org/works/54887011 #bg3 #bloodweave #fanartforfanfic

ugh

I tried it out last night and the hype is deserved. So happy to finally find something outside of Docs and OneDrive.

Oh no. This is too true. 🤦‍♂️

Reminder to comment on that art post or fanfic, and drop a review of that book. Telling creatives what you think, even if it’s just a one line sentence, truly does make a difference! And I don’t just mean ‘engagement’. I mean it will make their day. Tell someone when you love their work 🤍

Genuinely so touched that these two schemed to create such a gorgeous piece. 😭

99.99% of the time you're going to be the first and last person to read it. If it ever gets in front of another human, it has already survived the insurmountable odds of your own self-rejection, and the odds become much more grim after that. Just go ahead and write whatever you want!

Yeah but... would you... If you haven't read Hot Mess yet - you should. If you have - yell with me ;) (I'm not finished yet) --> archiveofourown.org/works/548870... #capdoesart #fanartforfanfic #kethricthorm

Cap's art is beyond gorgeous and I still get giddy thinking that they've drawn some of my scenes. I melt over how they brought this one to life.
