This is the most consequential speech given by an American leader since Kennedy's "Ich bin ein Berliner" address. And it is its polar opposite - a declaration of war on Europe, its ideals, its freedom, and the very Enlightenment era itself. I am ashamed for my country, and fearful for the world.
