I'm another year older today. I'm grateful I lived in a better America. The Vietnam War ended before I was old enough to know what was happening. The assassination of MLK was before my birth. I grew up without Fox news. I heard the beginning and evolution of hip hop. I heard the grunge era.

You could just see the kindness and compassion in President Carter's eyes. It's like looking in my Nanny's eyes. And she loved him. When he wrote to me she cried happy tears. I miss them both.
