The new "Witches of Scotland" tartan. The design was created by Clare Campbell to memorialize those who suffered as a result of The Witchcraft Act 1563 to 1736, in Scotland. StephenGeoRae

My newest favorite condiment is Herdez Salsa Verde. Not just for Tex-Mex but anything. Especially add to salad dressing gives a delicious sour bite better than lemon.

Two nights now I have run the heater. It really messes with my allergies and eyes. Everything seems to dry out and irritate then tries to rehydrate. I end up with runny nose and watery scratchy eyes most of the day. This is not fun.

Never been much of a baker but since it's so cold outside, I don't mind heating up the oven. Making my grandmother's kid version of tuna casserole with elbow mac, tuna, cream of chicken soup, hand full of green peas and sliced cheese. I've tried grown up versions but never as good. Kid at heart.

Watching old Iron Chef America on Food Network. Wish they would go back and show more of the older shows. I know Guy Fieri is popular especially with the maga crowd but three days out of five are just his reruns on loop all day. Just stop.

Picked up my meds for the next six months. It runs about $160 so a little more than $300 a year. I'm lucky. The Valentine candy was on sale. Got a large bag of Dove chocolate for three dollars. Win.

Just wondering. All this money Elon is supposedly saving the government, will it be diverted into Space X to finance his private mission to Mars?

Had a strange encounter at Walmart. A group of young women blocked one of the aisles talking loud. I didn't pay too much mind, just waited for them to move. One girl said, Do you expect me to move for you. I didn't say anything and she went off. I turned around and went the other way. Strange times.

Suppose to turn cold again tomorrow so I'm cooking pinto beans and cornbread. Will go with any of the frozen proteins in my freezer. The best thing about this front is we will see the sun again for a few days. The one note grey is exhausting.

My dad use to make us Kool-aid floats. Yes a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup with whatever flavored Kool-aid was in the frig. All the kids loved it. Whoever was in the yard playing.

Worst of the storms are going above us. Central Mississippi is getting hammered. Following closely but not as worried for now.

All beepers going off. We are suddenly under a tornado warning. Caught me a bit off guard because it's been calm all day with intermittent sunshine.

I just listened to Elon Musk on the morning news and could not understand a word he said.

I hate to complain about the weather because I love weather but we've had a week of cloudy foggy days now it's suppose to rain for a week or more. I'm feeling my SADS. Sigh. Time for daily Vit. D.

Cooking tortellini primavera with sauteed shrimp and my last bit of green salad from yesterday. I use Barilla tortellini. Fresh gets a little gummy for my taste. Plus a large bag makes several meals.

Yesterday I bought Post Malone swirled salted caramel and shortbread Oreos. And yes...I am feeling special.

Update from running errands. Bought wine for the weekend. So far the prices haven't changed. The guy said some things have gone up but so far wine hasn't been affected. YEH! 🍷

Have two eggs left. Wondering if I'll need a bank loan to buy another dozen.👩‍🍳

During the difficult times ahead for our country, Jesus will give you opportunities to show kindness and help others. Grab these chances like a precious gift.

Had a new little old lady move in across the way last month. I see her standing at the window watching my birds. I let her. This is entirely acceptable social behavior.
