Finally got around to watching Mars Express. What a damn good movie. A noir detective story with bright colours and gorgeous lighting. A cyberpunk story that carries GitS on its sleeve, but also goes beyond metal and circuits. A piece of French cinema, not beholden to Hollywood tropes. Go watch it!
