So - I've actually led Ebola outbreak response at USAID. This is bunk from Elon. They have laid off most of the experts, they're bankrupting most of the partner orgs, have withdrawn from WHO, and muzzled CDC. What's left is a fig-leaf effort to cover their asses politically.

Make a huge mistake. Then make a false claim about how you fixed it. They did it for PEPFAR. Now Ebola. I follow this particular topic VERY closely, so here's what really happened and why this isn't true AT ALL...🧵

Politics have consequences

To underline the statement, let's see what the CDC says. Yes, guess measles in the US can be seen as "unusual". Even more so, with vaccines available unnecessary

Elon Musk said DOGE made a mistake by cutting USAID’s Ebola prevention but it had been “restored.” That’s not true, current and former officials told me and @johnphudson.bsky.social. “There have been no efforts to ‘turn on’” Ebola prevention, said Nidhi Bouri, who oversaw team until January.

Glaube ja mittlerweile nicht, dass Ausländer das Problem sind, sondern Bürokratie und Behörden, die es nicht schaffen Anträge annähernd zeitnah zu bearbeiten.

And here the Mantra-style: get vaccinated! The disease and death is so unnecessary www.dshs.texas.gov/news-alerts/...

As of today, at least 73 study sections have not met. If they review 50 applications, plus 30 triaged, 10% funding rate = 8 grants per SS. That's 584 fundable grants on hold. Probably 5000 researchers affected in those teams composed of our best and brightest. SABOTAGE.

USA. Russia. Same, same

Werde wohl oder übel meinem internationalen Team erklären müssen warum jeder 3. um sie herum und bundesweit jeder 5. eine rechtsextreme Partei gewählt hat. Nur einen guten Ansatz hab ich noch nicht

I'm wondering whether ivermectin got all of the brain worms

maybe time to look at options abroad.

The court ordered that NIH grant funding be unfrozen, so The Regime found a way around it. For NIH grants to be funded, a review panel must rank them. In order for a review panel to meet, they must post it on the Federal Register. Submissions to the Federal Register are now on hold “indefinitely”.

Symbolism - SS United States

One does not have to study in the US, just saying www.statnews.com/2025/02/19/t...

If a NBA team worth about $5B fired all its players and went from a $150M to a $0 payroll does that mean the team was efficient and saved money? Or, does it mean there is no basketball team and there is no more revenue because then no one comes and the team is worthless? #analogies

Always wondering what the position of the pediatrician Precilla Chan, MD is in the new antics of her husband.

People do not get fired "accidentally"

There is significant respiratory virus activity in the EU/EEA, with an intense #influenza season & concurrent #RSV epidemic. People eligible for vaccination are encouraged to get vaccinated. Check the current situation on #ERVISS: erviss.org #IDsky #EPIsky

In other news, pathogens everywhere welcomed the confirmation of RFK Jr as the health secretary

#Measles is one of the leading causes of death among young children globally. In 2023, an estimated 107 500 people died from measles, mostly children under age 5. bit.ly/48SAtkf

Dann geht der endlich in die Post

Vaccines work! As measles cases have recently been reported in Alaska, Georgia, New York, Rhode Island and Texas, it's important to remember that prior to the introduction of the measles vaccine in 1963, measles killed 400-500 people and resulted in ~48,000 hospitalizations per year.
