Well thank you very much Nottingham Forest…

What a result! #bhafc

Arundel Junction went a bit wrong today. Kept me very busy.

While the Western political consensus of multiple generations continues to collapse, some things remain reassuringly normal…

Congratulations to British Transport Police for successfully indoctrinating a nation 😉

Bouncy ride through Balcombe these days

See it, say it, sorted.

Busy setting the world to rights today. Sorry everyone.

The lack of knitting here is lamentable

A second functional runway at Gatwick surely has big implications for the Brighton Main Line, particularly as it is likely that a condition of government support is that a proportion of passengers arrive by public transport. May well see Windmill Bridge bottleneck revisited.

Think we’re going to see a lot more of this…this Labour government is particularly sensitive to the charge that the UK never builds anything anymore. Personal and professional implications for me too! www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Continually disturbed by the news coming from across the Atlantic. There have been various examples in history of governments legislating against particular groups of people. The idea that excluding certain groups from society will make it more harmonious is a contradiction in terms, to my mind.

“They can’t do better, can they” - Chris Green GBR could do certainly worse than reusing NSE’s colours in London and the SE when the time comes.

I’d prefer we invested in London St Pancras and high speed rail instead, particularly if we’re talking about destinations in mainland Europe. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I’m seeing young enthusiasts refer to Network Southeast livery as very old. 😑

Services on the North Downs have changed a little over the years! Before the DMUs arrived on the scene, here is SR U Class loco 31628, arriving into Guildford from Redhill, with a train bound for Reading, in July 1963. 📸: RM Casserley Collection

I did also get a view of the lucky 465 - just about. I was, sadly, in a hurry.

Well, isn’t that the question we’re all asking? (I’m not. I’d get in trouble)

Got on a train at London Bridge, accidentally arrived in 1992.

Getting really fed up of untagged porn that keeps appearing on this platform. It’s a problem.

My child has just refused pizza because it DOES NOT have mushrooms on it

Going to ride some trains for fun tomorrow. I’m a mainline guy, but might go do some metro for once.

It’s nice to rejoin the land of the living, if only for a couple of weeks. That last run of nights was especially brutal.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery 😉

Allianz stadium my arse. Twickenham.

My favourite T-shirt has seen better days. Pushing the line that I need to go and replace it.

If garages don’t have availability on a given day to complete a repair, it shouldn’t be available to book on their website. Don’t advertise Monday as available if you can’t do a job until Thursday ffs.

Can’t help but wonder what HS1’s future relationship with GBR will be like. It seems like a logical step that when we once again have a nationalised, integrated national operator, they will have an interest in the operations of that line. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The ornate Victorian canopy over the forecourt of Brighton station is in awful nick. I hope that’s on someone’s list for overhaul.
