The Clank Legacy 2 adventure has begun It'll be the last photo of the board I get to share, haha Because we're already adding stuff to the board about ten minutes in @direwolfdigital.bsky.social

Lins and I have been playing Kingdom Two Crowns this week since it dropped on Gamepass We have been having lots of fun with it Couch co-op sidescrolling village building game where you have to defend it every night with walls and archers Super simple feeling, but also engaging. Worth checking out!

This weekend is our Best Games of 2024 episode We are pitting 8 games against each other in a Bracket Battle 1 Slay the Spire 8 Stephens 4 Fromage 5 Flip 7 2 Arcs 7 Pampero 3 SETI 6 Black Forest Which do you think will win our Bracket Battle? Which one is your pick for the best game of 2024?

It's lunchtime gaming with more Unmatched The Witcher Realms Fall It's such a tight fight We are all down to 4 or 5 health It's coming down to it @restorationgames.bsky.social

Excited to play through Clank Legacy 2 The original remains one of my favourite games of all time and a top legacy experience (even if Q was butt hurt about the final 'scoring') Can't wait to dive into this new version It also has a comically long title @direwolfdigital.bsky.social

Our group loves @capstone-games.com so we had to review their latest games Civ tech tree game by designers we like? And a thematic euro with weird rondel? Yes, please!

I love me some co-op trick taking games and I'm very excited to play this at 3 or 4. Didn't love the 2p version, so hoping it hits for me at higher player counts Also, the name of this game is comically long @officedoggames.bsky.social

Worst. Episode. EVER.

We played Dropolter at lunch today I love this silly dexterity game and hope, as you get closer to winning, it gets harder to do, so it allows others to catch up. Absolutely great, simple game design @oinkgames.bsky.social

We're tubing at the local ski hill with our Japanese exchange students this weekend It's been tons of fun!

We have a pair of Japanese exchange students staying with us this week and they brought ALL THE SNACKS So much deliciousness to try Plus we're introducing them to Ketchup chips and Maple cookies

We finished up this match today with one of the tightest games we've played. Yennefer was down to 1 HP, but Eredin and Philippa didn't finish her off, which was a big mistake She played some super powerful cards that drained the hands of the other players, leaving them open for unimpeded damage

Lunchtime gaming today is a 3p game of Unmatched The Witcher Realms Fall It's been a pretty balanced fight so far These heroes have been pretty interesting card play wise, even when I don't care that much about the IP It's like they keep making better & better heroes @restorationgames.bsky.social

Episode 247 is here and Quinten and I reveal our favourite Video Games of 2024 We also review a pair of 2p games in Ironwood by Mindclash Games and Unmatched: The Witcher - Steel and Silver by @restorationgames.bsky.social It's a super fun episode! boardsalivepodcast.com/2025/02/16/e...

Benji played through the first two campaign boxes of Hero Realms, so he wanted to try out a PVP match with his leveled up characters It was pretty wild and had some major swings but the Ranger character had super card draw that killed the Cleric

Benji and I tried out Floristry today It's a 2p tile laying game where you use an app to auction the tiles each round It's simple and plays quickly but was pretty interesting Benji snuck out the win with a good deal in the last round

I taught my friends Graeme and Kristen The Gang tonight They loved it and made us play 3 rounds because we couldn't pull out the win, haha We did on the final one though

I got my first win in Fromage tonight by making lots of cheeses with jam and berries 4p is more chaos, but I like it at this weight level

Scott taught me Royal Visit, a Reiner Knezia 2p tug of war game You play cards related to the different characters on the track to move then towards your side of the board I liked it!

Scott and I tried out Unmatched The Witcher Realms Fall tonight Triss vs Eredin Both characters were quite interesting in their own ways, but Triss felt pretty powerful Also, the boat was a cool map @restorationgames.bsky.social

Well, Quinten and I just recorded Episode 247 and had a bit of a technical issue about 3/4 of the way through and had to re-record the ending It got a little punchy, haha And less descriptive But still a fun discussion of our favourite video games of 2024

We played two games of Fromage in about an hour last night It plays so quick and is a really nice lighter euro I lost both games, haha Then we played a game of Ginkopolis, which I hadn't played on a while It was nice to get it played again Such a unique game

Benji and I battled it out in Unmatched The Witcher today I was Ciri against the Ancient Leshen I was able to get a bunch of Ciri's magic bubble cards into my discard early to power my abilities which got me some revenge on my loss to Benji in Ironwood @restorationgames.bsky.social

I taught Benji Ironwood last night and he proceeded to beat my butt, haha I tried the Iron crew and just couldn't keep up with his attack from the Wood Walkers I was always playing catch up But he really liked the system

Started and finished The Plucky Squire this weekend It's an interesting sort of kids targeted platforming adventure game Very much influenced by classic games like Mario and Zelda I didn't love it, but I also continued playing because it kept pulling me back, so I guess play it?

Brendo taught us The White Castle with the Matcha expansion tonight It's really interesting because it feels like a tight experience with only 12 actions in the whole game, but you can have some pretty epic turns that you do a bunch with just that one action

Benji is back for Episode 246 We review Daybreak by @mattleacock.bsky.social and Crossbows & Catapults by @restorationgames.bsky.social Plus we talk about our time with For the King II and Pokemon TCG Pocket Then Benji tells me why he wants a Nintendo Switch 2 boardsalivepodcast.com/2025/02/02/e...

Lins and I started playing Citizen Sleeper 2 last night. It's essentially a visual novel with dice rolling, so we're just playing it together. If you're into solo TTRPGs, you should check this one out. It's got a bit of a feeling of despair in space, but it was an interesting start to the story.

We had a big 4p game of Civolution last night Lots more death due to bad weather in this one compared to my first play Some big scoring differences as well I think I enjoyed it more than the rest of the group

Finished up Indiana Jones and The Great Circle today What a fantastic story If you like these movies, this game is absolutely worth playing Great puzzles and adventuring
