Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism. We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

There is such a strong correlation with interview processes & the quality of talent & work teams ship. You can almost judge one by the other. Cut corners on quality and experience? You likely cut corners hiring people & vice versa. How you do one thing is how you do everything.

The best designers & teams practice "intelligent failure", taking chances that yield unexpected results, big wins or strengthen your strategy with learnings. Too many teams lead from a place of fear of failure. It's a sure fire way to death by mediocrity. Embrace failing, avoid the middle.

My “Designer with Acute ADHD Toolbox” 😅 1. 30m planning block everyday 2. Notion Kanban board for priorities, tasks and goals. Updated religiously. 3. Deep work blocks and open meeting times in my calendar based on those priorities. I use Motion App to help. 4. Pomodoro FTW #adhd #designsky
