Bass: If you want to go back in time, where was LA on Thursday? Fine, peaceful. Nothing was happening. The minute ICE rolled into town, that's when the chaos started and then add to that—bringing in federal troops.

I remember this. youtu.be/LfDv3AkbPF4?...

But Chris Murphy told us the situation in LA is a distraction from the budget bill.

Due process on pause? “ICE” is detaining people without charges and blocking attorney access. I hope L.A. and California are transparent about the data, because I bet most of these folks have no criminal record—just moms, dads and young people doing the work that most Americans won’t touch.

This!

The galaxy is watching.

Live webcam view of LA, which has clearly burned to the ground.

Newsom is skating to the puck for once god bless

You poor, pitiful souls over here, missing Dinesh D'Souza and Juanita Broderick getting 10,000 retweets for calling a LA City Council member fat. So deprived of the discourse!

The photojournalist was rushed into emergency surgery after being hit by a three-inch plastic bullet in the L.A. ICE protests.

Turns out voters support the Obama/Biden deportation policy after rewarding it by voting for the Donald Trump policy then backpedaling after it's too late. Thanks folks.

*taps the sign*

Ah yes it's another episode of Chris Murphy: Distraction Cop. The only person who's distracted from what's important is Murphy who's doing yet another cable news hit instead of using his authority to obstruct the budget bill.

Welp, I guess it wasn’t a lie.

Viva la Patreon!

Governor Newsom: "I have formally requested the Trump Administration rescind their unlawful deployment of troops ... and return them to my command. ... This is a serious breach of state sovereignty — inflaming tensions while pulling resources from where they’re actually needed." The letter:

Whether he's actually polling at some other lower number isn't the point. He's strongest on immigration compared with other issues, so that's what he's emphasizing.

Until this changes, he'll continue to escalate.

"But these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve!"

Trump just said, “We’re going to have troops everywhere.” When asked, “What is the line where you’d send in Marines?” he replied, “It’s whatever I think it is.”

The NRA Wanted Her Silenced. Instead, She Built a Grassroots Army www.blueamp.co/p/the-nra-wa... "[Shannon] Watts details threats—sexualized, targeted, relentless—as the right tried to make her a cautionary tale. Instead, she became a symbol of what happens when you refuse to shut up and sit down"

This is the way

"The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that." —Karis Nemik, Andor, S1, E12

Earlier today ICE agents hit someone with a car and tear gassed a neighborhood, sparking several fires and disrupting businesses. Immigrants, by contrast, did not.

Republicans like Rick Scott are demanding people get jobs in order to qualify for Medicaid. WSJ: "Companies are freezing hiring and investment to deal with shifting tariff policies. ‘Even Trump doesn’t know what Trump will do next.’" www.wsj.com/economy/trum...

History 101, circa 2090: "What did the United States Plutocrat Crisis teach us?" A. Don't let billionaires own your space program. B. Don't let corporations own your news media. C. Don't let oligarchs spend unlimited money elections. D. All of the above.

Members of the California National Guard have arrived in Los Angeles — against the wishes of Gov. Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, who are calling the Trump move inflammatory and unnecessary.

If Pres Obama federalized the National Guard of a Red state and sent them to put down a Tea Party protest, the right would've went ballistic--literally. But when Trump does the same they cheer. Please understand that MAGA is an anti-democratic movement that wants Trump to be a tyrant.

Every accusation is a confession

Just because HE doesn't care doesn't mean WE shouldn't care. The second we hold our fire when it comes to calling out his illegal actions is the second he gains more power to ignore the rule of law. We need to stop helping him by giving up and pulling our punches.

Legal might not matter to the MAGA dictator, but it should matter to everyone else. The rule of law dies as soon as we give up on it.

What if you want to work but can't because you're physically unable or there aren't jobs or you're not qualified? You're just supposed to die, I guess.

Republicans crapped their cages over Jade Helm 15 military exercises.

The craven tyrant who demanded all this hardware for his birthday parade sent five other kids to fight and die in his place in Vietnam then referred to veterans as suckers and losers.

Awareness and acceptance are two distinct frames. Anyone paying attention is aware of what *could* happen. But too many of us have moved beyond awareness, fully accepting that elections are a pipe dream. Those people are surrendering, and it's voluntarily helping the tyrants.

It won't be LEGAL, senator.

A great way to help MAGA authoritarianism is to convince enough voters there won't be elections. Unless you know for sure, which no one does, all you're doing is surrendering in advance, depressing turnout, fundraising, and volunteerism. Stow the crystal ball and prepare to dominate the midterms.
