Went on X earlier just to remind myself of what I’m not missing. I was shocked. At least 70% of posters think tariffs are taxes paid by the exporting country into the US treasury. They don’t understand that they are paid by US importers.

12th century Fairfield church on Romney Marsh. The houses around the church are long gone leaving it isolated on the marsh. Its parishioners are mainly sheep.
