I think I'm going to post under the hashtag #thirddraftsaga to talk about my revisions: I just read through Part 1 of the memoir again and put my notes on the margins. The themes are coming out really well, and I'm cutting a bunch of paragraphs! I teared up at a bunch of parts. The story matters!

Last week we went to Manhattan’s Chinatown. Dim sum on Mulberry St. was awesome. Visiting the Museum of Chinese in the Americas helped us reflect on Chinese American history, including a replica of a Chinese pharmacy, and plaques of important people and milestones. #miseducAsian

policy makers live under the delusion that if you just get a good enough teacher, the class size won't matter! they could teach 100 kids! this doesn't make sense in literally any job and calling teachers "heroes" sure as hell doesn't make up for it.

Tonight I made tofu with mushroom sauce (mushroom powder, vegetarian oyster sauce - made from mushrooms, soy sauce, agave, and a little chili paste, with water and thickened with corn starch), asparagus (cooked in my cast-iron skillet), and 生菜. Total prep and cooking time: 45 min. Yum! 😀 #MTBoSCooks

If you're in nyc a lot of the local supermarkets, i.e. not national chains are unionized under ucfw local 1500. Also a lot of the stores like ctown, keyfood etc aren't traditional chains. They're individual owned buying cooperatives
