Donald Trump promised he wouldn't cut Medicaid. This week, his friends in DC voted for a bill that would leave 3.4 million Illinoisans, including 1.4 million children, in the dust. Another middle finger to working families and the most vulnerable in our state.

This expert on autocracies dissects the motivations behind Trump’s actions extremely well open.substack.com/pub/lucid/p/...

"Cuts have no apparent regard for civil society or opportunity costs or long-term strategic thinking. Their targets are Elon Musk’s and Project 2025’s targets. They have found no fraud, just democracy at work. They’re apparently eager to see what happens when it no longer does." Brian Barrett:

Wow. From an email sent around by appalled USAID officials: "The termination to contracts, grants, and assistance agreements over the last two weeks and the huge bulk last night were not done according to federal laws, regulations and procedures..." www.thebulwark.com/p/a-midnight...

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

Is Elon a govt employee? If he is, he needs to be held responsible for the intense and number lies he is putting out with constant “if true then…” If he isn’t then he needs to get the hell away from my govt.

SCOOP: The top US election security watchdog has frozen all of its efforts to aid states in securing elections. The move represents the first major example of the country’s cyber defense agency accommodating Trump’s false claims of election fraud and online censorship.

Hard to know how close we are to the precipice

The only good things about the Broncos today was the defense in the first half and Bo Nix. Running, receiving and play calls were all sub-par. IMHO.

For the second time in his rookie season ... Repost to congratulate QB Bo Nix on being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week! 📰 » buff.ly/3Waw47m
