What can you do? Don’t give up hope. Dictators feed off your hopelessness. Don’t quit. Dictators want you to give up. Punch back. Dictators are bullies, and bullies are cowards. Stay tethered to the truth. Dictators need you to believe their lies. Resist. Stand with others.

Feel guilt, it builds character. Feel weakness, it builds strength. Feel fear, it builds courage. However, if you allow yourself to only feel without building or perseverance to build further, you'll fester in the rot of apathy or compliance. The world may fail but you shouldn't fail yourself.

As a combat veteran who served honorably in the army, I am appalled at the attack against my kin and you should be too.

Today marked another dark day in American history. There will be many more days, and even decades, like this. Get used to the new normal. The sooner you bask in the suffering to follow, the sooner you can adapt and overcome it.

A lot of folks are giving up in advance. Capitulating before a single skirmish. Well, not this old warrior. I’ve seen much worse from the U.S. government in my day. I’m concerned for our country, but not a bit scared of these miscreants. I’m ready to do my part. Who’s with me?
