Friendly reminder to go get a library card even if you don't plan to use it for anything more than ebooks via Libby or Hoopla. Every patron matters. Every library matters. Please contribute to the stats and make time to support your local library. β€οΈπŸ“š

Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, board games, video game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, computers, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, passport services and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! πŸ“šβ€οΈ

"It may be a small thing, but many small actions can make a big impact. In this tenuous time, I’m determined to live my values, and if that means that I have to sacrifice my personal convenience...I’ll do it." www.huffpost.com/entry/target...

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent. Opportunities are everywhere. Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are πŸ“‰

Get it, theSkimm πŸ‘πŸ‘ The new administration took reproductiverights.gov down, so theSkimm published everything that was on it. www.theskimm.com/news/reprodu...

I currently have COVID (third time 😭) and hearing the person who literally gave it to me say "I think she just has a bad cold" has me RAGING

I need more Barnes & Noble but less, like, Barnes & Noble (because I'm pretty sure I've seen all their stock offerings and guys I need more notebooks but not THOSE notebooks and also Target seems to have discontinued Greenroom? Help)

I'm just here for the books, not the doomsday news. I'm also really sick of hearing about the orange one. Can we have some good news, maybe? Here's some: dogs are still good. Roses still smell delightful. And stars still glow regardless of whether or not we can see them. ❀️

Consider me psyched

Hi! I'm Erin. I've joined the X-odus with no regrets. I'm here to connect with my book people (writers, designers, editors, publicists, agents, marketers, producers, etc.). I champion diverse voices, the marginalized, and healing. From what I've seen so far, I think I'm going to like it here. 😊

πŸ¦‹ WELCOME TO BLUESKY! I recommend exploring our custom feeds, which are a little like hashtags but more interesting. We have them for academic and professional subjects, sports, cities, hobbies (e.g., gardening, baking), and many more. Search them in the sidebar under Feeds. 🧡

A well known waterfall in #Austria. I love to be there when it's raining - for the solitude, colours and mood. #waterfalls #naturephotography #landscapephotography

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie. An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough. So finish the thing.

I truly love the way we are all trying to lift one another up and bring some joy.

I won't date you if you don't have one tbh

This really has the power to make our day ❀️

A repeat thought, Bluesky, & a Librarian told you this so it must be true 🀣 Audiobooks definitely count as reading (as well as listening). If you've played through an audioook, its perfectly fine to describe that as "I have read [x]" All other forms of assistive software count as reading too πŸ’™πŸ“š πŸ‘

people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. πŸ’™
