Hello friends. I know times are dark but it is incredibly important not to lose hope. And, this week there are signs of hope and it paramount we recognize that hope, not let up and build. A thread on this if I may. You may appreciate this on a Friday. Come along with me. 🧵 (1/10)

Dem leader Rep Steven Lynch when asked to stop voting w GOP said no and then said "I decide whats best of the American people. I decide I decide I decide". Can we please stop pretending the blue state Dems are going to be the ones that save our country www.masslive.com/politics/202... #mapoli

Continue resisting. It's working. Keep going. The people and places we love are worth fighting for. ❤️‍🩹

Love, love, love the #TeslaTakeDown pickets. These are low-barrier to entry direct actions. I hope people are passing out info to passerbys and also sharing info with each other so they can stay connected!

If I had a band or a label, I would do a punk cover of "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock. And then I would gather a bunch of people to write a whole album of next-generation Schoolhouse Rock songs, with songs about Social Security and Medicaid and NOAA. I am not kidding in the least.

There's a sense that people are feeling a little less fearful and that the lethargy is slowly receding. I think anti-fascist momentum will build.

There were organizers who I heard say at a meeting in late November that using "President Musk" in a repetitious way was going to be important to break through to regular USians. Of course they were correct.

Sell your Teslas, dump your stock, join the picket lines. Hurting Tesla is stopping Musk, and stopping Musk will help save lives and our democracy. The stakes couldn't be higher and no one is coming to fix this- not our politicians and not our media. It's up to collective effort.

Back to being right up Rep Stephen Lynch's a** on a daily and weekly basis. If you live in a "blue" state look beneath the veneer and demand better from our electeds. I was too nice in 2019 and look where we are now. #wherearethedemocrats #organizeyourpeople @indivisible.org

1 million people would sign up for this within 1 day. 500,000 would actually do this. No one needs to rely on the NYT, etc... to get information out to regular people.

Do Not Comply In Advance: bossy, already a cliche, implies permission to comply later Fuck You, Make Me: leads by example, directs yelling at opposition instead of allies, easy to chant at a protest or put on a banner

It's amazing how badly most congressional Democrats are misreading the mood of their base. On the bright side, if you're ever considered running for Congress, the 2026 Democratic Party primaries are going to be a prime moment for "throw the old guard out" insurgents.

This was me & friends in 2019 - after weeks of visiting Rep Lynchs office we had 2 find him in local mtg. He was & is feckless. If he wont go full brass knuckles fighting for us, don't make the mistakes I did in 2019 go Harder #mapoli NorthEndWaterfront.com search.app/EoMnXsDsi8Tq... #mapoli

To be clear, everybody brown is being questioned. If you have ANY melanin in your skin, you’re a target.

POTUS is shutting the US government down, except for immigration enforcement and military activities. That’s the story. He’s shutting the whole government down. He’s closing up every aspect of the United States operation, except the parts with guns.

Not only are their labor practices bad, but the coffee and pastries are overpriced and mediocre.

Hi you don’t have to post it. And you don’t have to re-post it. And you can think about the fact that Jewish people are gonna be traumatized every single time you make us see it over and over and over and over. You can just not post it.

I can’t believe TikTok is basically our Reichstag

The absolutely breathtaking self destructive actions of the Democratic party literally cannot be understated #tiktokban Cheetolini is going to get all the credit

How is this TikTok ban discourse going? I'm now texting with oomf in Chinese. It's not just genz that is pissed

Los Angeles: The city's mutual aid groups are urgently looking for long-term warehouse space to receive and stage emergency supplies. Requirements: storage for 30-50 pallets, a loading dock, and a pallet jack or forklift. Ideally for 18 months.

Hi LA County friends, just got a heads up through the wires and don't have a place to write it up so I'll put it here instead - the city of Rosemead is providing free N95s and KN95s to the public which can be picked up at the Rosemead Chamber of Commerce on Muscatel Ave between 12-4pm today...

The what if I don't like beans but about every single statement any one makes about anything is about to be my villain origin moment

These teenagers and young men — 95% of whom are Black, Latinx, or Filipino — earn between $2.20 and $4 per hour, plus an additional $1 an hour when they’re actively fighting fires, according to the DJJ. ⤵️

The insanity of being a fire ecologist in the epicenter of a major fire event, bags packed and ready to evacuate, watching active fire from my window, while taking media requests and explaining to the public, for the 100,000th time how climate change is largely responsible for this

Important for folks to know that something like 30% of California fires are fought by incarcerated ppl and they struggle to get hired by depts when they finish their sentences.
