Found the pics that I used for my ERTL Thomas conversion. This one was made by modeller Ronald Pointer and it was fitted with RC so that it could travel on other people's garden railways. I wonder what became of the model since these photos.

So this was something I didn't expect from my dog, May. She actually LOVES miniature train rides. When I had my portable tracks set up to give my niece and nephew a ride with Puffa, May wanted to have a go too. And so this clip from 2022, shows her happily having a train ride for the first time.

The Valiant model changes a bit from its black and white premier in the Chronology (1993) to its color shot in the Encyclopedia 3rd ed (1999). The nacelle struts change their angle, for one thing. The bridge head that is missing in the 2018 auction pictures is already gone in the Encyclopedia shot.

Sussing out the innards of the SS Valiant and finessing its proportions. Its guts are made up of spheres. There's a line of 3 large ones in the center with a chain of 5 smaller ones on either side. The small spheres next each large one line up on their axis. Other small spheres fill in the gaps.

Once I get my garden railway up and running agin, I must see about getting this little chap up and running too. My custom gauge 1 Thomas. Made from an ERTL RC toy and mounted on a PIKO motor block. I might give it an upgrade later on as I feel as if it could use some improvements.
